For the 10th anniversary in 2023, the band recorded the gig making this available on digital and CD. RSD2024 sees the album released on vinyl for the first time pressed on white vinyl with brand new artwork.

I've Enjoyed As Much Of This As I Can Stand represents a singular moment in the band's history. Recorded on the final night of their '98 tour in support of the eponymous LP, Acetone was in peak form. recorded live on 16 track ADAT, the band pulled from all corners of their catalog in a nearly 80 minute set that veers from serenity to recklessness, culminating in an epic 13-minute medley of "I'm Gone / Miserlou" that should put to eternal rest the notion that this was a "slowcore" band.

Everything But The Girl's 'At Maida Vale EP' is made up of four tracks recorded in April 2023 at the BBCís famous Maida Vale Studios - Run A Red Light, Single and When You Mess Up, first broadcast on Gideon Coeís BBC 6 Music show; and Nothing Left To Lose first heard on Jo Whileyís BBC Radio 2 show. All the recordings are versions of tracks on the bandís current album, ëFuseî, except Single which first appeared on their platinum 1996 album, Walking Wounded. The session was the only live performance that the band did around the release of their new album.Speaking about the EP, Tracey Thorn says: "It was exciting returning to such a famous studio to record these tracks. It was almost 40 years since our first John Peel Session there. The idea was to start by approaching all four as live piano and vocal takes.""Nothing Left To Lose was then left stripped back as a complete contrast to the original," adds Ben Watt, "while for the others we added a few one-take overdubs of synth, guitar, drums and backing vocals to capture both the spontaneity of a session but a flavour of the original album arrangements." Everything But The Girlís new album Fuse charted at Number 3 in the UK Official Album Chart, the highest position of the bandís career. The Guardian was among several top publications to post a 5-star review ('Still staking out pop's frontier after 40 years Ö a comeback worth waiting for'). Pitchfork called it the duoís 'triumphant new album Ö bewitching and soul-baring'. 'Faithfull Forever' is a 1966 studio album by Marianne that was only issued in the United States. This RSD pressing marks its first U.K release and it has not been re-issued on vinyl in the U.S. In 2024 Marianne celebrates her 60th anniversary in music, and for fans of her Decca catalogue ëFaithfull ForeverÖí is a must. The album is a defining moment of the baroque pop sound and features some of Marianneís best 60ís performances with interpretations of songs by writers particularly suited to her interpretive gifts. Standout compositions include ëWith You In Mindí by Jackie De Shannon who had previously written ëCome And Stay With Meí for her, Donovan contributes ëIn The Night Timeí aka ëHampstead Incidentí which was released 6 months in advance of his own recording, Bob Lindís ëCountingí arranged by Jack Nitzsche and ëTomorrowís Callingí written for her by Eric Woolfson later of the Alan Parsonís project. The album features some unexpected song choices from Marianne including a pop arrangement of Ewan MacCollís ëThe First Time Ever I Saw Your Faceí originally recorded for her second folk LP ëNorth Country Maidí, her reading of the Love theme from ëThe Umbrellas of Cherbourgí soundtrack performed in the original French, and a foray into jazz on the Herzog Jr / Kitchins classic ëSome Other Springí which will be a revelation to those who only know Marianne as a singer of folk pop. This track along with ëLucky Girlí by Les Reed and Barry Mason and Norma Tanegaís ëIím The Skyí have never been released in the UK, and are still unavailable elsewhere. 7 of the albums 12 tracks are also appearing on vinyl for the first time since the original release.All tracks have been remastered from the original tapes by Andrew Batt, and this special RSD release comes with detailed sleeve notes featuring exclusive commentary by Marianne herself and new artwork based on the original sleeve shot by the master French photographer Jean-Marie Perier.

The Flirtations release ‘Still Sounds Like the Flirtations’ – their first album of new material in 55 years. They are best known for their 1969 signature song, "Nothing But A Heartache”, off their debut album ‘Sounds Like the Flirtations’. That song spent 14 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100, and its success saw the group tour with Stevie Wonder, Tom Jones, The Four Tops and The Temptations. “Nothing But a Heartache” remains an undeniable Northern Soul classic; it has been streamed over 13 million times, and in 2022 was remixed by Tobtok and Oliver Nelson. On their new album, which was produced, engineered, mixed, and co-written by Ben Rice (Joan Osborne, Valerie June), Earnestine Pearce, Shirley Pearce, and Viola Billups aka Pearly Gates tell the stories of their lives.

Drawing inspiration from the churn of personal, social, and political situations that they have lived through over the past five decades, they capture a timeless and well-earned perspective on love and life. This mesmerising studio session was recorded during a live performance at Antonio Feola’s beloved Fish Factory Studios in London, in August 2022. The ensemble that enchanted listeners on "Dolphin" reassembles, featuring the talents of Greg Foat, Gigi Masin, Moses Boyd on drums, and Tom Herbert on bass.

Within this ambient, somewhat Balearic journey, you'll find alternate renditions of Masin's poignant tribute to his late wife, 'Sabena,' and the atmospheric 'Viento Calido,' both of which graced the original "Dolphin" release. In addition, the album introduces two fresh compositions: the uplifting 'Jubilation' and the extended freestyle opus 'Three Piece Suite,' representing some of the most inspired recordings from their collaboration to date.

For Recordstore Day 2024 Universal Music Recordings and Virgin Records will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the album ëMonty Python Live At Drury Laneí. Inspired by Terry Gilliamís unmistakable animations and graphics, the original artwork was created by Kate Hepburn (who later created visuals for Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones) and has been adapted for a first release on picture disc by Darren Evans and Holly Gilliam, who were also responsible for 2019 ëLife Of Brianí RSD release.Following the success of four studio albums ñ ëMonty Pythonís Flying Circusí (1970), ëAnother Monty Python Recordí (1971), ëMonty Pythonís Previous Recordí (1972), and ëThe Monty Python Matching Tie and Handkerchiefí (1973) ñ ëMonty Python Live At Drury Laneí was recorded in March 1974 on the last night of a sell-out four week-run at the London theatre. It peaked at No. 19 on the UK album chart that July, where it nestled between Marvin Hamlischís soundtrack to The Sting, and the debut album from Bad Company.The album features live versions of sketches made famous on the BBC TV progamme Monty Pythonís Flying Circus, written and performed by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terr Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin, with support from Lyn Ashley and Neil Innes. This 50th anniversary celebration can only mean that the following message, that appeared on the original 1974 artwork, was a little premature: ìThis could be, but by no means definitely, perhaps almost your very last chance but one to hear some of these classic rib-ticklers, before they are all handed over to the British Museum archives (Loopy and Dappy Things Department).î

CAM SUGAR is proud to release for the first time ever on vinyl the complete soundtrack of Carlo Lizzani's masterpiece, 'Storie di vita e malavita' (1975).The stories evoked by the title are based on the real investigation carried out in Milan a few months before the filming by journalist Maria Rusconi, whose aim was to investigate and denounce underage prostitution. Morricone comments on the crude news stories staged by Lizzani with a theme that immediately assaults the listener, through its stubborn and edgy progression. The title track immediately echoes the tones of 'Indagine su un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto' (1970, Elio Petri), combining the grotesque with a hallucinatory and impactful timbral and orchestral violence. There are also flashes of bossa, dark marches and jazz-funk colourations typical of the 1970s crime genre. All tracks, with the exception of the track already included in the 'Morricone Segreto' compilation (ëVita e malavitaí), are unreleased in any format.

2024 is the 30th anniversary of the Sinéad O’Connor Single, You Made Me the Thief of Your Heart. The track was written by Bono, Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer for the soundtrack to the 1993 film In the Name of the Father. The song was produced by English musician Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass) and Gavin Friday and does not appear on any of O’Connor’s studio albums, but in 1997, it was included on her first compilation album, So Far… The Best Of.In the Name of the Father is based on the true story of the Guildford Four, four people falsely convicted of the 1974 Guildford pub bombings that killed four off-duty British soldiers and a civilian. O’Connor’s heart wrenching, powerful vocal was the perfect way to deliver the track’s devastating emotional message with lyrics written by Bono. In a 2023 interview with Steve Pafford, Gavin Friday talked about the recording of the track: “We showed Sinéad a rough edit of the film, after which I spent sometime with her going through the lyrics the next day in STS Studios in Dublin. And with the phenomenal talents of producer Tim Simenon we recorded Sinéad’s breathtaking vocals. All she asked for was the room to be candlelit, and within two takes she had made her magical mark on the song……. what Sinéad captured within that song spoke as loud as the bombs that opened the film and as deep as the pain The Troubles had wounded our nation” This exclusive release for Record Store Day 2024 is on clear vinyl and pulls together the versions of the track released in 1994 as well as the B-Side, The Father and His Wife The Spirit performed by Sinéad and Gavin Friday.

By 1974, Mike Oldfield was coming to terms with the enormous success of his debut album, Tubular Bells, that has been released the previous year. Its success continued to grow stealthily, bolstered by the inclusion of the opening theme in the cinema sensation The Exorcist. The album became a phenomenon, topping the UK charts, winning a Grammy; giving a green light to Mike Oldfieldís career. Oldfield could have at this point done anything he wanted, and he did. He disappeared. He drove west from London and settled on Kington, a beautiful market town in Herefordshire. The town is dominated by Hergest Ridge, the long, high common land with breathtaking views that stretches from the town to Gladestry in Wales. Combining flying his gliders on the Ridge and playing in the local inn, Penrhos Court, Oldfield came up with Hergest Ridge, the successor to Tubular Bells, written at The Beacon, his home there on the borders. Mikeís demo of the album ñ that was ultimately released in August 1974, topping the UK chart ñ was first released on the 2-CD set of Hergest Ridge in 2010. Now, for Record Store Day 2024, it makes its debut on vinyl, mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road. With new artwork overseen by Mike Oldfield (including photographs taken on the Ridge in 2023), The 1974 Demo offers a chance to revaluate this breathtaking English pastoral music, two suites performed and played by a 21-year old musician running from fame.

Uncluttered by the other artists tracks, the OST spread across 2 slices of red and white vinyl includes sing along family favourites Liar, Anarchy In The UK and No Fun alongside lesser known but no less essential cuts Don't Give Me No Lip, Road Runner and What'cha Gonna Do About It. Humanity's path since then makes his message even more urgent today. Years after Herman Poole "LeSony'r Ra" Blount "left the planet" he's still trying to reach us, to wake us up and to change our destiny.

Sun Ra and the Arkestra weren't a traditional studio band, and every star in the vast galaxy of their discography reflects this. The origins of these records can be hard to pinpoint at times, but when it comes to Thunder Of The Gods, it's a bit easier. "Calling Planet Earth - We'll Wait For You" was discovered on tapes from Ra's, Universe In Blue, believed to be recorded in '71. The raucous title track and "Moonshots Across the Sky" are unearthed from the '66 Strange Strings sessions. Modern Harmonic has once again paired Ra's sonic art with the visual art of "The Father of Modern Space Art," Chesley Bonestell, whose 1952 work "Formation of the Earth's Continents" spralls across the front and back covers.

With original vinyl copies fetching at least £100 second hand, Scott Walker’s 1995 avant-garde masterpiece ‘Tilt’ gets a welcome reissue for Record Store Day 2024 on 140gram vinyl. Originally conceived as the first in a trilogy that went on to include ‘The Drift’ (2006) and ‘Bish Bosch’ (2012), ‘Tilt’’s atmospheric soundscapes and trance-like percussion combined with influences from as far afield as industrial music and traditional classical ‘lieder’ works. Throughout, Scott’s unmistakable baritone enhances an overall work of haunting beauty. In a recent reappraisal of the album’s charms, Pitchfork wrote: “Scarily, maddeningly good. It is like an old mansion full of haunted arcana: revolving bookcases, secret rooms, a golden pouf to perch on sipping ancient ‘eau de vie’. Even the easiest pleasures, like the stained-glass daybreak in “Bouncer See Bouncer,” arise from such obscure surroundings their beauty is always sudden, a second too quick for your defenses.” For this 2024 Record Store Day limited edition release, UMR have worked with the full consent of Scott’s estate and the album’s original producer, Peter Walsh. For an enhanced listening experience, it has been mastered for 140 gram vinyl by Frank Arkwright at Abbey Road Studios and cut by Miles Showell to play at 45rpm.

Soul Jazz Records’ new 18th anniversary one-off limited-edition heavyweight special-edition red and cyan coloured vinyl pressing (+ download code) exclusively for Record Store Day 2024 of their long out of print classic release ‘Studio One Rude Boy’. This album is fully remastered and relicensed for RSD 24.

From the early days of Bob Marley and The Wailers (whose striking sharp-suited Rude Boy style appears on the front cover) through to the classic 1970s Jamaican films ‘The Harder They Come’ and ‘Rockers’, Rude Boys have been synonymous with Jamaican Reggae culture.

This Jamaican Rude Boy anti-establishment attitude and stylish attire was later adopted by bands such as The Clash (in the film Rude Boy) as well as The Specials, Madness, Selector and others in the Two-Tone era that swept across the UK at the end of the 1970s.

The album features classic tracks from Studio One featuring Jamaica’s finest singers and groups such as The Wailers, John Holt, the Wailing Souls and Dennis Brown alongside super-rare hard-to-find tracks from artists such as Mr Foundation, Dudley Sibley and Jim Brown.

Driving Ska and Rocksteady rhythms, classic singers, killer horn lines, great Rude Boy themed-songs, all recorded under Clement ‘Sir Coxsone’ Dodd’s supervision at the legendary Studio One.
