The Voidz

Tyranny - 2025 Reissue

With 'Tyranny' (2014), The Voidz – Julian Casablancas’s radical project – deliver a raw and abrasive debut where dissonant guitars, chaotic rhythms, and eclectic influences (punk, metal, world music, retro synths) collide to create a dystopian soundscape.

Breaking away from classic pop formats, the band channels both political critique and artistic experimentation, confirming Casablancas as a musical agitator unafraid to push boundaries.

    Sly & Robbie

Present Gregory Isaacs - 2025 Reissue

Reissue of the very first album ever released by Sly & Robbie’s iconic TAXI label back in 1979.

Having saved enough money during a tour with Peter Tosh to buy four multitrack recording tapes, Sly & Robbie asked Gregory to voice a few songs for them. Because they had played on so many of his hits, Gregory generously agreed to do it for free to help bootstrap the new TAXI label.

In 1979, Gregory Isaacs was by far Jamaica’s most popular artist, earning his ‘Cool Ruler’ nickname many times over, releasing hit after hit, most of which were produced with Sly & Robbie, who at 25 years of age were already the hottest backing band.

Out of these sessions came hits like ‘Soon Forward’, a fabulous cover of Bob Marley’s ‘Slave Driver’ and four other potent tracks. There were no flimsy soul or pop covers: Gregory Isaacs, whose voice and range were at their peak, sang with clarity, depth, verve and confidence, with no unnecessary mannerisms.

A must-have for any serious music fan, this crucial album features extended so-called ‘Discomix’ versions of all the songs, providing listeners with a generous serving of the Riddim Twins drum and bass extravaganza.

In addition to the original album, the label have added three dub versions that were only released in Jamaica, as B-Sides of singles, in 1979. These have never been reissued until now and provide a fascinating glimpse into Sly & Robbie’s drum and bass sound, which revolutionized Reggae music at the time.

      The Voidz

      Megz Of Ram

'Megz of Ram', the surprise new EP from The Voidz, unveils four hypnotic and abrasive tracks, born in the same East Village basement that once saw the birth of 'Is This It'.

With this new release, The Voidz continue to cultivate their taste for dissonance and surprise. The EP is driven by glistening synths that shimmer against sharp post-punk rhythms, while Julian Casablancas’s voice, filtered through Auto-Tune, mutates into something between a human confession and an otherworldly signal. The atmosphere is at once nostalgic and futuristic, drawing from the ghosts of New York rock history while imagining a fractured tomorrow. Each track feels like a secret transmission from a parallel world, intimate but alien, chaotic yet strangely magnetic. Recorded in a place already loaded with myth, 'Megz of Ram' doesn’t merely revisit that past but twists it into new forms, confirming that The Voidz are less interested in repeating formulas than in inventing new languages for their music.

          The Gladiators

          Roots Natty

'Roots Natty', a treasure trove of rare tracks from one of reggae’s most iconic groups, The Gladiators. These songs were recorded during reggae's golden era, from 1977 to 1979, a time when the genre was shaping global music culture.

During this period, alongside other reggae giants like Culture and Burning Spear, The Gladiators crafted unforgettable arrangements to match their deep, thoughtful compositions. With Albert Griffiths and Clinton Fearon at the helm, their lyrics transported listeners to a mystical land where peace reigned, Rastafari thrived, and the chaos of Babylon was left far behind.

The majority of the tracks on 'Roots Natty' are rare Jamaican singles, featuring mixes that are harder, heavier, and more dub-infused than their album released in the West at the same time. Originally released in small, exclusive batches in Jamaica, these singles have been carefully restored and remastered, preserving their raw, authentic energy for a new generation of Reggae lovers.

            Seu Jorge & M

            Parioca

'Parioca' is a duo formed by Matthieu Chedid and Seu Jorge.

The collaboration began 12 years ago in Brazil following the Festival Encantado, where they performed together, and Seu Jorge's New Year’s Eve show on Copacabana Beach, where he invited his French friend to join him on stage.

This was a natural continuation of their bond after Matthieu had invited Seu Jorge to perform at Bercy in 2004.

The duo's work was finalized in recent weeks and produced by Jérôme Pigeon, who produced Seu Jorge’s iconic album Cru and introduced the two musicians in the late 1990s.

'Parioca' is a hymn to the intercontinental friendship between the two artists, celebrating their enduring joyful, warm, and fruitful relationship. Their collaboration continues to evolve, with Seu Jorge set to contribute to Matthieu Chedid’s upcoming album, 'Lamomali 2'.
