ABOUT THIS ITEM
The London based production duo Dusky (aka Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman) debut on Will Saul's recently resurrected imprint, Simple Records with the "Henry 85 EP"; two tracks of UK garage infused house music. Influenced by everything from classical and avant-garde electronica to UK garage and underground house, this offering is diverse and danceable, and in line with the duo's singular aim, to compose electronic music with depth, soul and originality. With support from DJs as diverse as Joy Orbison, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Boddika as well as airplay on Rinse FM from Loefah and a remix for Hot Chip imminent on Domino, Dusky lay down an exciting blueprint on this EP. On remix duty is FCL, otherwise known as the Belgian production team Red D and San Soda. Here they churn out a blissfull 4/4 glider, touching on some of the NY sounds by Levon Vincent and Jus Ed but keeping their distinctive production aesthetic intact. It’s an excellent post-peaktime meltdown that'll touch hearts as well as feet on the floor.
