ABOUT THIS ITEM

The first of four singles from the forthcoming Cos/Mes album. The duo, hailing from the Tokyo underground, combine beautifully spacial and droning arrangements with tropical vibes on "DFG" (featuring Dr. Nishimura of Discossession / Crue-L Grand Orchestra). Part house (check that snare roll midway through), part tropical Balearic disco (check those rain forest bird calls), "DFG" is an engaging piece of dancefloor music. On the B-side we have a deep relaxing remix of album cut "Heavenly Trax" by Sombrero Galaxy's own Johnny Nash. Tinted with a swinging electro-bossa rhythm (think Maze "Twilight") and a hint of keyboard pan pipes, this one has 'future Balearic classic' written all over it. Lastly we have an extended version of another album cut "From Other Space", a beautiful semi-ambient number with the distinctive sounds of curlews (I was in the RSPB aged 10, so I know these things...). Essential.
