"Some Kind Of Kick" consists of 14 killer tunes taken from an impressive almanac of sleazy rock'n'roll, built up by The Things over the past half decade but influenced by all the dirtiest sounds of the last half-century. The album recorded partly in Berlin at an ex-Nazi propaganda broadcast house come studio. These sessions were produced by Fabien Lessure, The rest of the record was produced by Leo Pearson in Kilkenny, Ireland. Overall, with live favorites such as "Salute The Sun" and "I Can't Feel"... Signature tunes like "Demon Stomp" and title track "Some Kind Of Kick" and brand new compositions "Out Run The Law" and "Make Her Cry". This cracking debut album will almost serve as a greatest hits to existing fans and surely open the floodgates for a whole new army of disciples for this cult Dublin Quintet. Few bands in history have had the unholy raw power of The Things in a live environment.
