Identical twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin released their debut album "Under Feet Like Ours" in 1999 and have since released a further three albums. They've toured with numerous artists including Neil Young, Rufus Wainwright, The Killers, Ryan Adams, Cake, Hot Hot Heat and Gogol Bordello. They've also earned the patronage of The White Stripes, who covered their US radio hit "Walking With A Ghost" for a 2005 EP of the same name. This album is their first for Warners and follows their 2004 album "So Jealous". Produced by Death Cab For Cutie guitarist Chris Walla with Tegan and Sara, "The Con" finds the twins on captivating form throughout a set that focuses on angsty, literate lyrics married to infectious new wave pop. The album's first single, "The Con" is a great example of their sound, being punchy, insistent and immediate. Other highlights include the album's opening track "I Was Married", the addictive hook of "Back In Your Head" and the pure melody of "Hop A Plane".
