A savagely sweet mix of post nu metal / emo, this EP transcends obvious Thursday comparisons, managing to retain a distinct identity despite on the surface using the familiar good cop / bad cop formula of a discordant, heavy, yet melodic guitar sound and a vocal style alternating between beautifully pitched harmonies and bloody throat screams, underlain by relentless, punch drunk rhythms. While "Plans For A Better Day" was an excellent debut, "Chasing Angels" is a clear progression, and should, if there's any justice in the world, do very nicely indeed thank you very much boyo for these Funeral For A Friend compatriots and ex-labelmates.
