JUMP SOURCE

More anthemic, 5D techno from Canadian duo Jump Source. Their fifth release of kalaidascoping spine-tinglers with a rough, rugged edge that gets the system tweaking in all the right places.

"Balance" opens with a juddering and fizzy keyboard motif that gets soaked in cosmic ripples, its driving 4/4 kicking the whole thing forward at a steady rate. "Sad Salad" is a brilliantly titled track that encapsulates melancholy and rebirth as it hums across zipwires and circuit boards. Finally "Tonewarm Extender" mixes both Jamal Moss and Jeff Mills influences to create another scorching interstellar trip that'll have you dizzy with sine waves and drum machines.

Exceptional stuff from Francis Latreille and Patrick Holland.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Came for the anthemic fizz and twang of "Balance" but enjoyed the other two equally as much. Jump Source rightly continue to be the cult favourite.

New stars Jump Source are back with a condensed EP of intricate dance tracks. This is JS at its most crispy and atonal. Three tracks of distorted clicks, wriggly grooves and overdriven circuits that prove to be pretty capable in the club. Recommended.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Incredible new sounds from Jump Source who channel the spirit of true techno through exploration and sound craft. Real shit folks.
