The doomy organ slides from speaker to speaker and then guitar, bass, drums and sax thunder on through, lastly the epic vocals of Kip Trever seek to conjure the demon spawn from Hell. Much was made of their Satanistic lyrics but the mock mystiscm is quaint by todays standard. Nevertheless this is no nonsense escapist prog and worth a listen.
Vertigo label release from a band whose internal divisions and constant line-up changes seriously hurt their popularity, a real shame as this proves that at their best they could really motor. This is a consistantly good release with Paul williams throaty vocals giving a real blues edge to things and some great gutar work from Micky Moody (later of Whitesnake)
