**ALERT!! - Stupendously fresh vibrations within!

>> Mindblowin' sound manipulations from SUDS, a collaboration between Christoph De Babalon, whose previously spearheaded Alec Empire's Digital Hardcore Recordings as well as co-founding Cross Fade Enter Tainment (CFET); and Wilted Woman - a multifaceted artist gracing a plethora of cassette labels from Wicked City, Private Archive and birdFriend and put out a number of tasty 7" releases on Primitive Languages.

The music is totally out of this world. A mix of re-imagined dance music tropes, thrown chaotically into a simmering melee of digital interference and overdriven hardware, Opener, "Shuttlecock Fanfare" is as skippy a slice of dark side jungle as one could hope for while it's successor, "Trauerweide" defies any current genre boundaries entirely as it deploys analogue notes, heavenly pads and a concoction of holographic sfx into a completely unique musical form - superb!

"Sad And Done" ups the ante even more with creative bass plumes expertly mixed to formulate a heady space track that'll cause ripples of excitement both through nightclub dancefloors and your cerebral cortex with its tantalizing palette. "Mirage March" ends on a mournful precession through sparse, baron lands.

With programming flair akin to Monolake and an obvious obsession with modern technologies; SUDS have succeeded in grasping that rare magical place which pushes away all existing electronica tropes yet invites the listener into a friendly and evocative space. Masterful!

Welcome to Mold. Damp corners of a lonely room, kept barely heated by an oil stove, trap themselves in snares of darkness. The crushing of packed snow beneath chained tires, as a truck slowly crawls its way down a buried road. Down, down, down; there is nothing but the momentary glint of pitiless forms as the headlights pass by.

Recorded live on New Year's day in Yellowknife, this serves as official documentation of the sole performance of Funky Doodle. For those who remember it, now it remains.

Funky Doodle is comprised of James K, Draveng, and Dj Richard.

All tracks are taken from this live performance.

Hank Jackson

Untitled

Hank Jackson has been behind some of the most inventive techno to have left NYC in recent years, releasing music on his compadre Anthony Naples label, Proibito and Mister Saturday Night. If you're after a twisted NYC take on classic Chain Reaction and Monolake, then this is strongly tipped. One dancefloor(ish) number complimented by two abstract, atmospheric numbers. "Gacx" is the lead track, and one that'll (probably) garner most dancefloor play. It's a swirling, fragmented piece of celestial techno that should pique the interest of Huerco S fans as it's side chained atmospheres are permeated by stuttered concentric beats. "Snake Pit" and "Oebbbbbb" see the producer delve into the circuits of his synthesizers, churning out some proper analogue phlegm and mainframe juices as he rips apart circuit boards and CV inputs with abandon. Proper ear-grabbing music by one of the new school. TIP!
