Liaisons Dangereuses

Los Ninos Del Parque

Continuing their unstoppable charge, Spaziale Recordings look back to 1981 with an officially licensed, remastered reissue of the much lauded 'Los Ninos Del Parque’ by the German band Liaisons Dangereuses, alongside providing a cosmic evolution of the original by Stefano Ritteri.

A chugging new wave / industrial masterpiece, 'Los Ninos Del Parque’ became an instant and immediately recognisable hit on every dance floor it captured, hammered by the likes of Jeff Mills and Juan Atkins in the early days. An essential classic, its quality shows in the fact it’s still heavily championed today, regularly unshackled and let loose by Ivan Smagghe, Skee Mask, Martyn and Kasra V to name only a handful.

On the flip side you’ll find ‘La Afro Del Parque’ an intergalactic interpretation by Liaisons Dangereuses & Stefano Ritteri - squelching synths and tribal touches giving a new lease of life to the ’81 original.

An indispensable record in any collection.

The unstoppable Spaziale Recordings set their sights on an absolute Paradise Garage classic from 1982 - the much sought after and instantly recognisable ‘Together Forever’ by Exodus. This fully licensed, remastered reissue comes housed in a full picture sleeve and contains a killer DEF Mix from Stefano Ritteri alongside the original extended vocal and dub versions.

Bursting with passion, ‘Together Forever’ is a record that was destined for greatness. A Larry Levan favourite, and for good reason. Produced by Errol Mattis and featuring one of the most sampled vocals in house music, there’s a triple threat of plucked basslines, clavinet power and joyful horns backed with the kind of percussion that ignites a rarely witnessed tribal energy within. It’s had crowds in fits of frenzies ever since its release and every collection deserves this gem nestled within it.

As well as the original extended vocal and dub versions, Stefano Ritteri steps up to add his own special touch, giving it some proto house power. He echoes and manipulates those fiery vocals, introducing each element gradually from the acid tinged topline to the layers of drum machine heat, gradually building the suspense to pure fever pitch.

    Snap up on sight!

Next on the lathe for Spaziale Recordings is a fully remastered and official repress of one of THE most sought-after Arabic disco records, A. Mislayene's "El Fen". This 12" was only issued in seriously limited quantities on the tiny Stip records label out of France in 1976. Sought for the chuggy exotic rhythms of the B side "El Fen" at long last this eastern-influenced disco masterpiece is available to those who don't happen to have a spare £500!

Aït Meslayene was a Kabyle traditional singer who moved to Paris to try his luck. He was driven by an Algerian manager who pushed him to make a "disco" album, a new trend at that time. The recording found place in a studio near Paris, with an American drummer from the funk group "Ice".

For SPZ002, Viaggio Recordings head honcho Stefano Ritteri steps up to provide an exquisite “Versione Spaziale” of 'El Fen' on the A side, with the original version and 'Yemma' taking the flip.

    STAFF COMMENTS

Patrick says: If you've had an eye on the presales, you'll be aware that Spaziale are on the cusp of a frankly insane reissue schedule for 2020, beginning with the cosmic chug of this Arabic disco masterpiece. The OG is wonky, woozy and whacked out with a great chanted vocal chorus - think Magik Cykles tackle, while Stefano Ritteri's mix straightens things out a little for a heads down groover.
