MALEDETTA DISCOTECA

Maledetta Discoteca's journey through “Música Para Boliche” literally “music for the club” from Argentina’s underground scene doesn’t stop. They dug even deeper, right into the ’90s presenting five tracks, all visionary even at the time of their release. Once again, you can feel the magical touch of the Italian and Argentine DJs who worked on it.

Jack Bulgaro did his part, bringing home an instrumental unreleased version of "Podés Seguir Sin Arriesgarte", taken from the album "Undermalabia", produced by El Signo, pioneers of electronic music in Latin America.

Limited edition and vinyl only, "Música Para Boliche Vol. II" takes your right to the heart of the Agentina's proto-house scene.

Chiara Della Monica Feat. Tonico 70

Ajere (Reggae Version)

“Ajere” tells the story of the sudden end of a love story: the disorientation, the balance, and the strength to say “Nun te vogl’ chiù manco je!” (I don’t want you anymore either!).

In this reggae reinterpretation, Chiara Della Monica meets Tonico70, who with his direct language brings a concrete, urban and visceral charge to the song.

Available on 45 rpm vinyl, with the song on side A and the instrumental on side B, “Ajere” blends Neapolitan melody and Jamaican groove, transforming a breakup into an act of liberation.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Uplifting, funky reggae (with a touch of Lover') track with a cool rub-a-dub styled rap section. Instrumental kicks like a mule too.

North Of Loreto & Alex Fernet

Disco / Diavolo Blu

North of Loreto is a side project of Bassi Maestro and Alex Fernet, concentrating on penning fresh and timeless new songs inna Italo boogie style. "Disco / Diavolo Blu" is the first work to bloom from this new partnership and fully shows of their sophisticated song writing and supreme production chops.

"Disco" utilizes Jomox drums and gleeful, cinematic chord progressions to conjure up a slice of synth-pop-boogie joy that's perfect for the day time, and could soundtrack any number of feel-good moments. Even though the Italian lyrics aren't understood myself, they certain impart evocative vibes through the track; I'd be dying to know what he's singing about!

"Diavolo Blu" is the more dancefloor-centric track. Centered around a big synth motif and 4/4 drums, we get a funky vocodered hook, deep bass squelch and motorik drums; resulting in very captivating nightclub experience!

Limited import copies, artwork by Riccardo Michelazzo - recommended!
