    Robert Earl Keen

    Gravitational Forces

Robert Earl Keen is the latest Lost Highway artist this year to release a top Americana album folowing in the footsteps of Lucinda Williams on the same label. This has the same bittersweet flavour as Williams' "Essence" with that wistful nostalgic sound that a lot of these alternative country players seem to be becoming increasingly fond of.

      Billy Bob Thornton

      Private Radio

"Private Radio" is actor and now singer Billy Bob Thornton's suprisingly good album of country tinged americana on Lost Highway. It's dark, often funny and he's written a love song for his laydee, Angelina Jolie (Lara Croft to you) aaaahh. Co-written and produced by Marty Stuart.

        Whiskeytown

        Pneumonia

Originally recorded in 1999 as a double, this album was shelved due to record company mergers and then the band split, with Ryan Adams and Caitlin Cary off to launch solo careers. Last year Ryan and producer Ethan Johns went back into the studio and remixed a single albums worth of tracks, from the album, the result of which has at last seen the light of day. And it's well worth the wait!
