Cole Pulice

Land's End Eternal

Electroacoustic saxophonist, improviser and composer Cole Pulice traffics in shimmering, otherworldly beauty. On the meditative ambient jazz of ‘Land’s End Eternal’, Cole adds a welcome new texture with the introduction of the electric guitar, an instrument previously unheard in their music, which took on a central role as a compositional and sonic tool for this record.

Cole Pulice is a saxophone player from Minneapolis. An improviser of ambient jazz who earned their merits touring with Bon Iver, working with Godspeed You! Black Emperor and releasing wonderful electroacoustic gems with the groups Iceblink (Moon Glyph) and LCM (Orange Milk).

Performed at Pitchfork Music Festival London 2024 alongside Still House Plants and Mabe Fratti.

Ami Dang fuses sitar, voice and electronics to create East-meets-West, ambient-via-trance music. Dang draws inspiration from South Asian and Middle Eastern folktales and you can hear the distant winds of foreign lands drift through her music.

Galvanized by the Western interpretations of these stories, "Parted Plains", unfolds as a new sort of soundtrack for a yet-to-be written folktale that is neither Eastern nor Western, not traditional or contemporary but somewhere in between and perfectly suited to the cross-cultural, meta age we currently occupy.

For fans of Mary Lattimore, Laraaji, Suzanne Ciani.

UK post-punk pioneers Bauhaus' immensely influential “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” – originally released in 1979 – is considered the original gothic rock record.

The first official vinyl reissue of “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” and first release of complete recording session (including 3 previously unreleased tracks), mastered by Mandy Parnell.

The live version of “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” was in iconic 1983 film The Hunger. It has been covered by Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and Nouvelle Vague.

    STAFF COMMENTS

Barry says: A seminal recording from one of the forbears of the gothic rock movement seeing such a resurgence at the moment. The Bela sessions includes the (almost) titular lead track (worth the entrance price alone) and three more unreleased gems. Essential.
