So Alone - 45th Anniversary Edition

So Alone is the debut solo studio album by Johnny Thunders, then leader of The Heartbreakers and formerly lead guitarist for New York Dolls1LP. Formerly lead guitarist for the New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders released his debut solo studio album, So Alone in 1978. The album opens with a loud, spirited rendition of the Chantays' 1962 surf rock instrumental "Pipeline." It's followed by one of Thunders' all-time classic tracks, "You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory," that was released as a single and to this day is considered by many to be his signature song. It was later covered by Giant Sand, Guns N' Roses, as well as Joey Ramone and Ronnie Spector as a duet.
