Last year's "Input 64" collection of classic Commodore 64 themes seems to have really fired the imagination of these musicians on this eclectic compilation of cover versions and remixes. From Mina's wicked sludgepunk cover of "Theme From Arkanoid" to Ovuca's absolutely gorgeous remix of "Hit The Gas" (which is what you wanted the Aphex album to sound like) and Mikron64's "Kings Of Metal Rehersal Tape" (which is pummelling speed metal with super-technical guitar solos - all on a SID chip, with speech-synthesiser band arguments too), not to mention romantic pop songs, '60s French library music and Herbert-y jacking house sounds - there really is something for everybody - FUCKING BRILLIANT!!
