No-Neck Blues Band

Letters From The Earth

One of the most enigmatic, mysterious, and defiantly anti-commercial groups to emerge from the New York loft scene during the 90s, the No-Neck Blues Band were formed in 1992 around multi-instrumentalist Keith Connelly and percussionist Dave Nuss. Sometimes operating more as an artists' collective or commune than a band, NNCK (as the group is often abbreviated) membership is in a state of near-constant flux. Determindly improvisational and experimental in nature their distinctive sound cascades with seemingly random elements. 1996's "Letters From Earth" was their defining recording with wildly abstract and formless meanderings that defy convention and commerciality.
