ESCHO

From Peter Peter (the composer behind the Pusher soundtracks & Valhalla Rising) comes "Marble Station EP" with his group Bleeder. Featuring Majke Voss and Elias Rønnenfelt (Iceage) on vocals. The release also includes the new Bleeder track "Here Comes the Dead", a cover of Lydia Lunch’s "Boy/Girl", and the Fifty Foot Hose classic "If Not This Time."

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: We can't get enough of the Danish post-punk underground! All these new Escho records are mega! Shoulda known Mr. Rønnenfelt would shove his oar in somewhere - providing some of his stylized vocals for Bleeder who instantly impress with an intriguing 'chamber-punk' sound.

The Danish-Chilean composer Molina (b.1992), explore the transformation between organic and synthetic musical landscapes. She weaves her own tapestry of dreamy guitar surfaces, soaring flutes and atmospheric vocals. Quite obviously indebted to the whole My Bloody Valentine / shoegaze cannon; it's a shimmering slice of frozen beauty that's had us all really impressed.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Perfectly while we all (impatiently) wait for the next My Bloody Valentine album. This Danish-Chilean wonderkid ticks all the right shoegaze boxes whilst occasionally starring brightly into blue skies. A surprise hit that's got tones of promise.
