Answering the most popular question of the past few weeks, yes we are OK after RSD! It was a busy day obviously, and the queue was also considerably bigger than the past few years, but everything ran super smoothly. There are still a few bits left over that you can browse at your leisure here, but quite a few titles are running low now so if there's something you fancy, don't hang about!

Things are speeding up a little in the new release department too, with a load of new LP's hitting the shelves for tomorrow, so what do you ask should I be bothered about?

Well, if you like a bit of 'Indie' music (I know, I know) then you're in luck because there are a couple stunning new ones from both The Lemon Twigs and Camera Obscura. The Lemon Twigs' (who I have to admit not being 100% convinced about in the past) new one 'A Dream Is All We Know' is a beautiful thing though, pretty clearly influenced by 60's pop, 'How Can I Love Her More' for example is a perfect example of the Beach Boys groove and harmony and cements them as a band with a great future trajectory.

As far as Camera Obscura go, following on from the loss of founding member Carey Lander was always going to be a difficult proposition but while the melodies of olde are present, it's a much more stripped back affair tending to whisper melodies and solos rather than put them right up the front of the mix. Though this results in a much less orchestral outing, it's a wonderfully fitting seep back into the industry after 11 long years.

There's a new one from top jazzer and all-round musical superhero Kamasi Washington and it's every bit the thundering epic that made 'The Epic' so.. Epic? Anyway, it's hugely a hugely inventive behemoth, wandering from ambient-adjacent spiritual business to jagged, syncopated cuts and athletic free-jazz without breaking step. It also has a load of guests on including newly flute-enthused Andre 3000.

'Here In The Pitch' from Jessica Pratt comes on a lovely Dinked version and has kind of taken the opposite trajectory to Camera Obscura's new one, moving from brittle folk and minimalistic country to a much more orchestrated affair. There are more bright melodies and poppy song structures, perfectly sitting beneath Pratt's unmistakeably beautiful vocals. There's a lot of vulnerability in there too, with both jubilance and fear playing a part in the songwriting and coming together beautifully like a well-rounded story.

If you fancy things a little more synthy, then you could do far worse than the stunning new album from Pye Corner Audio for the brilliant Ghost Box Records. It's a little more thumping and saturated than the summery drift of 'Let's Emerge' on Sonic Cathedral last year and definitely follows in the lineage of Jenkins' collection of albums for the label. As with anything he's ever done, an absolute triumph and swimming with the sound we've come to know and love from this project.

'Collected Demos' sees a good selection of demos from Trish and James from 2006-2009 and offers a brilliant insignt into the way the songs for what would have been their 5th album, and most importantly provides a load of good sounds for the ears, which is all we really want.

Speaking of stuff that goes in the ears real nice, i've just uploaded a presale for the brilliant Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan's forthcoming album, Your Community Hub. I've heard it all the way through (a good few times) and after seeing him play this weekend, I can tell you GCF is on the form of his career. We have a couple formats listed too, but as with anything else he does, don't hang about!

We've just announced a very exciting DJ set from Lancaster's finest indie-punk duo The Lovely Eggs. These lovely eggs will be coming in to smash out a DJ set for us on Saturday the 18th of May to celebrate the release of their newest album, 'Eggsistentialism'. There will be some signing, some free stuff and some great tunes. More details / release info / preorders here, but safe to say it should prove to be an absolute hoot.

Omar - It's So 7" - £11.99 Millie says: Perhaps the best release on the Mukatsuku label yet, a 2004 gem that is heavy on the jazzy broken beat goodness. It's hard to believe its 20(!!) years old but remains incredibly current within the reenergised Jazz scene. No repress so don't say I didn't warn you..!	Manjeet Kondal Feat. Mr Scruff, Turbotito & Ragz - Bhangra House Xtc Ltd 12" - £16.99 Matt says: Mr. Scruff dives back into the world of bhangra, remixing a well regarded high watermark of the genre.
