Dance It Away

Hailing from York, Bedford, Harlow and Barnsley, but now residing in their secret HQ in East London, the new wave indie four piece have been making waves on the underground for quite some time, and after a handful of well received singles, they now release their long awaited first CD EP "Dance It Away". Comprising of four tracks; "Dance It Away", "Death Of The UK", "Animal" and 2Bobkuntz remix of their first single "London Girls", and produced by Premen (Mystery Jets, Bloc Party, These New Puritans, Klaxons, Jack Penate, Lilly Allen, Shitdisco), it looks set to put LR Rockets firmly on the map. Lead track "Dance It Away" describes a tale of how when winter comes around, the promiscuous urges of the summer's sunbathing in the park disappear and all you want is somebody to cuddle you during the cold nights. However, loathing monogamy you dumped the only girl you ever loved when summer began and now she won't take you back and you have nothing. The only place left to heal your pain is on the relentlessly turning dance-floor where everyone else is lost in the same lonely song desperate to "Dance It Away". In a manner truly befitting LR Rockets, they have drawn on the well known and constantly used muse of lost love, yet woven it into a perfectly crafted tale which seems more unique to the individual than the masses.
