"Hotep" was released on Benji B's Deviation records in 2017 and now gets repressed on Dean Blunt's World Music label.
The sound is free and instrumental; with a light and airy approach. Somewhere between Khruangbin, Surprise Chef and the modern jazz explored by Kamasi Washington. Rich with strings and mellow keys, punctuated by live bass and drums and recorded ever-so-slightly lo-fi.
We have a very small number of copies to go around so move quick if you want in as these will not hang around long!
STAFF COMMENTS
Matt says: Dean Blunt continues to seek out and snaffle the hottest shit in the world. This one criminally passed us by in 2017, but thankfully Blunt's signed it to his crucial World Music label for a much needed repress. Lucky us!TRACK LISTING
