Couldn't Hate You / Open Ended

Digwah is back with yet another standout release, showcasing two new rollers that expertly fuse timeless late '80s vocals with an infectious tech house rhythm and pulsating synth lines.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: The trusty Digwah label returns with more exclusive, vinyl-only white label business. A techy outing this one, laced with the ghosts of Ian Brown and Sade.

The DIGWAH imprint returns with another dancefloor dub for the techy side of the house crowd, reworking the Doors' sublime "Riders On The Storm" into a minimal-style head-melter. Upping the tempo to a rapid 125 plus, and looping the bassline into infinity, the unknown producer applies odd ketty fx to his teutonic 4/4, gradually pulling the astral keys of the OG into the mix. One part microhouse, one part minimal techno and obviously a bit Jim Morrison and co, this is a perfectly produced flip on a classic that could slay a mainroom when deployed at the right moment.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Very good edit alert! A The Doors edit that does not sound cheesy (that is hard to achieve, folks)and keeps you intrigued all along the solid yet minimal beat. It works wonders on the dancefloor. Will fly.
