BALKAN VINYL

First full length from Posthuman in eight years. Named from, and created as a companion piece to the (completely sold out) Mutant City Acid series on Balkan Vinyl. Inspired by classic computer games such as ‘Syndicate’, ‘Flashback’ and ‘Beneath A Steel Sky’, it is written as the soundtrack to a journey through a near-future dystopian city, awash in the glow of neon skyscrapers. Digging into the weirder side of acid techno and electro, this is still an album for the dancefloor but with one eye on the darker corners of the room.

Pressed on completely random coloured vinyl – red, green, yellow, blue -.some marbled, some faded, some solid, some translucent – the first time this has ever been done. The entire pressing process was video livestreamed from the plant with engineers answering questions in the chat (again, a first). Comes in a full colour gatefold sleeve adorned with retro pixel art.

Form an orderly queue please... The sell-out-on-arrival Balkan Vinyl release another salvo of throttle rockets at us unsuspecting souls....

A coming together of some serious house music legends on this one. Boy's Own don Terry Farley teams up with Kevin Swain of D.O.P. for a peak-time acid anthem "Memory Child". Label boss Posthuman strips it back for a Sheffield bleep techno vibe remix, while Kirk Degiorgio rebuilds the track with modular acid and epic piano chords into a blissful, sunshine anthem. Terry and Kevin bring it all back with the more chilled "Acid Tool" mix to complete the EP.

As a special edition for the 25th release on Balkan Vinyl - six tracks selected from the label’s back catalogue – four of them having never before released on vinyl, the remaining two from highly sought after out-of-print releases.

Includes the last ever track released by LFO "I Love Acid", Global Goon’s acid anthem “Craehzrhd” from the very first Balkan release in 2010, and the opener from the late Andreas Gehm 12” on I Love Acid “Heaven and Hell”. Luke Vibert, B12, and Plaid round off the EP with tracks that were previously only available as part of a digital download from the label itself (never in shops until now).

This is a vinyl-only release, super limited, and likely to sell out on pre-order.... don't say we didn't warn you!

Six tracker of jacking acid house and warehouse rave music for dancing to. No fucking about.

Four to the floor goodness from Planet Mu hardware don Chevron, Granary 12 (new Scottish duo featuring Steven Simpson of 10 Pills Mate fame), Heka Trax boss Nightwave, UK electro rave heavyweight Matt Whitehead, Balkan label owners Posthuman, and Han Do Jin - new moniker of Rag & Bone’s Warlock. No need for more blurb, just listen to the tracks. Edition of 303 hand-numbered 12”s.
