The Return Of Tomorrow

The Return Of Tomorrow is Fu Manchu’s first new album in 6 years, and they made sure that it was worth the wait. Their 14th album is their 1st double LP of new material and it was conceived of as a vinyl listening experience. The first LP features 7 songs in their iconic heavy fuzz sound including the first single, “Hands Of The Zodiac” and the relentlessly catchy “Loch Ness Wrecking Machine.” The second LP sees the band mellowing out with 6 slower tempo jams including the synth inflected “Solar Baptized” and the title track. Both LPs are 45RPM for the thickest possible sound. CD listeners need not worry, as this version of the album was mastered specifically for the format.

Like the band’s most recent album, Clone Of The Universe, and the band’s 3 part Fu30 EP series, The Return Of Tomorrow was recorded at The Racket Room in Santa Ana, California by Jim Monroe (Adolescents, Ignite) and co-produced with Fu Manchu.

Go For It... Live! - 20th Anniversary Edition

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut live double album, Fu Manchu is releasing the first ever repress of Go For It…Live!, which has been out of print since the original pressing. The 22 song release was recorded on the band’s 2002 California Crossing World Tour, which marked the debut of drummer Scott Reeder. Fu Manchu is renowned for their live performances and this set doesn’t disappoint, with incendiary renditions of fan favorites such as: “Hell On Wheels,” “Mongoose,” “King Of The Road,” “Evil Eye” and their always requested cover of “Godzilla.” As AllMusic.com said, “Go for It...Live! is an absolute must for those enamored by Fu Manchu's buzzy sound, and a great introduction for those curious about a band woefully ignored by radio stations and video channels.”

This limited edition vinyl run of 2000 units has one LP pressed on Neon Yellow and the other on Neon Orange vinyl and is packaged in a gatefold sleeve with brand new artwork including never before seen photos of the band and flyers from the associated tour along with printed dust sleeves with additional new images. This new pressing has been specifically remastered for vinyl by Carl Saff for optimum fidelity.

The limited edition 1000 unit CD run also features the updated art and a digital specific remaster.

          A Look Back:Dogtown & Z Boys

A Look Back - DogTown & Z-Boys is the first short documentary by legendary artist/photographer Glen E. Friedman. The film looks back on an essential period in the history of skateboarding, but more directly on how the original award winning documentary affected the original surviving members of that influential team (Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta, Peggy Oki, Wentzle Ruml and others) and what they thought about the original film itself, 20 years after its release. Fu Manchu provided the entire soundtrack for the film with the songs personally curated by Glen E. Friedman. This official soundtrack recording release features all 9 tracks featured in the film in the order that they appear. The music spans the band’s entire career from “Free And Easy (Summer Girls)” from the band’s 1994 debut album, No One Rides For Free, to “Il Mostro Atomico” featuring Alex Lifeson of Rush, from their most recent full length album, Clone Of The Universe. This is the only release from the band that features two instrumentals: “Out To Sea” from 2004’s Start The Machine and “Hanglider,” which was originally released on the Japanese version of 2000’s King Of The Road.

This limited edition double LP run is pressed on one purple and one green vinyl and features an etching from legendary skater, Lance Mountain. The gatefold jacket features rare photos from Glen E. Friedman including an incredible shot of the late Jay Adams across the inside.

                Godzilla’s / Eatin’ Dust +4

Godzilla’s/Eatin’ Dust is the most popular release in Fu Manchu’s 29 year recorded history. It is the combination of what were originally 2 distinct 10” releases: Godzilla (1997) and Eatin’ Dust (1999). Last year, Scott Hill (vocals/guitar) found the original tapes from the Godzilla recording sessions produced by Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age/Kyuss) and unearthed a secret that had been in his garage since 1996...The band had recorded 4 songs that had never been released. These extra songs are early versions of "Grendel, Snowman," "Strolling Astronomer" and "Urethane” (whose final versions appeared on 1997’s The Action Is Go) and a cover of Thin Lizzy's "Jailbreak" (which is a different version than the one which was released on 7” in 1998).

The songs line up perfectly with the original tracklist, which includes the band’s crowd pleasing cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s “Godzilla” and fan favorites “Eatin’ Dust” and “Mongoose” (which was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for Toyota and included in the TV series “Sons Of Anarchy” and the films “Boondock Saints II” and “The Hot Chick”).

The vinyl packaging is comprised of 3 10” records (in a nod to the original 10” releases) with each of the three pressed on a different custom color in a limited run of 2,000. The vinyl is housed in a triple gatefold package with never before seen photos of the band. The CD version of the album has also been remastered for maximum fidelity.
