Released in September 1981 The Cure's 3rd album is seen by aficianados as probably their finest hour. It is a moody, melancholy, sleek and glacial affair that was clearly influenced by Joy Division but in a very good way indeed! Basically it's more than a tad gloomy, but that's why we love it!
