The Plimptons are Motherwell's hottest ragtime comedy art prog-rock band, who first rose to national prominance earlier this year with the internet release of a track called "We R Franz Ferdinand 2", which eventually lead to the real Franz Ferdinand having to shelve plans to title their own album similarly. Shameless opportunism was soon replaced and backed up thoughtful with jolly songs in the vein of the Beastie Boys, the Kinks, Half Man Half Biscuit and Yes, with their debut album "The Songs Ignorance And Of Inexperience".
