The Anamonaom is Ned Oldham's project. Backed by his brothers Will and Paul, Ned displays his songwriting mastery. His most recent albums were released on Palace records and Temporary Residence and "Derby Ram" is his fourth album. Delicacy and intensity both merge in the sounds of the Anamoanon. The Anamoanon are a lurching Crazy Horse-like outfit that play with homespun recklessness. Pooling high vocals and harmonies, spare enigmatic lyrics, snaky lyrics and rock chord progressions, they remind many of quality 60's neo-traditionalist mavericks. Rarely does country rock sound this vibrant and alive.
