This is the first solo album in six years from Dawn Smithson, singer/bassist in Jessamine and Fontanelle and recent Sunn O))) collaborator. "Safer Here" is an emotive listen. Smithson's vocals are both intimate and revealing, a perfect accompaniment to the gentle guitars and aching synth drone soundscapes.
