Ten Years After's legendary guitarist, Alvin Lee released this superb album with American singer Mylon LeFevre in 1973. Full of star guests and featuring some of Lee's most joyful music "On The Road To Freedom" was still characterised by some excellent lead guitar playing but in an easygoing, laidback setting. Beatle George Harrison, wrote and performed on the standout song "So Sad (No Love Of His Own)" and Traffic stars Steve Winwood and Jim Capaldi jam on several tracks, alongside Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.
