About this item

Debut album from Ireland's pre-eminent punk/noisy, alt-rockers Gurriers.

Recorded in Leeds at the Nave with Alex Greaves, Come and See explores many themes, be they the end of the world, the disenfranchised youth of Dublin, emigrant friends, the rise of the far right, desensitisation to violence, a pope struggling with belief and love amongst other things.

Four previous self released singles, the last of which 'Des Goblin' was A-listed on BBC 6 Music as well as Radio 1's Jack Saunders 'Tune Of The Week'.

Come And See not only includes songs of raging intensity but equally brilliant song-writing, the record includes the singles Des Goblin, Nausea, Sign Of The Times and a new definitive recording of 'Approachable'.

STAFF COMMENTS

Barry says: A snarling maelstrom of post-punk guitars, distorted vocals and frantic, electronic percussion bursts. Gurriers perfectly toe the line between chaotic, snarling punk and rhythmic, hypnotic indie-rock. There are a lot of great bands coming out of Ireland at the moment, but Gurriers' sound is peeling away from the mould a little more. Brilliant LP.
