Since 1991, Detroit’s Strand have been at the forefront of Detroit techno, with their tracks rich with that Motor City spirit. The trio return with 3 new selections for their own Harbonder label entitled: "Space Age Polymers EP". This is the label's first vinyl release after being a digital based hub since 2005.

“ABAR” floats in on spacey pads with darting leads and plump bass. Much like fellow Detroiter Kelli Hand's productions, it seems to glide on an addictive, mesmerizing & cerebral plane. “3 Piece” expands on 21st century cybernetic boom-bap electro with nagging synths. granite drums and jerking robo-rhythms. Finally “Tensioner” sees fluttering arps, rising strings, cosmic pads and deep bass all slowly coalesce into a huge crescendo that reminds me of classic Derrick May remixes - yes it's really that good!
