There are lots of singers coming out of America at present whose style is broadly known as Americana or New Acoustic Music. Claire Holley has a little of each on this her debut album. All the songs are self penned and have names like "Abilene", "Mississippi" and "Pennsylvania Town" but all with a personal set of lyrics and a fragile sense of place.
