Fleeting Eternity

Tokyo's Rocco Universal drops some new disco movements for When I Met You following a killer release on Leng. "Fleeting Eternity" won't win any awards when it comes to originality, but what it does do - it does very well! Slick, hi-fi new disco with plenty of movement. Think Future Boogie, Crazy P, PBR Streetgang and you're there. This ain't no also-ran though, the nagging acid bass, galvanized fret licks and steady, pulsating drum beat should ensure plenty of repeat plays out in the field. "October" is a more radiant, deep house affair. Conga patterns are placed at the fore, as sequenced arpeggios hover overhead and a sublime, summery bassline lifts the track up from its horizontal beach position. Fluttering keys with gentle delay add to the relaxed and dubbed out nature while twinkling piano rolls and to the overall air of being massaged by your love one as the waves lap up against your ankles. Lovely stuff.
