The band's new electronic chapter – powerful sounds and lyrical expanses.

Immortal Onion, a group that has been garnering acclaim both in Poland and abroad for years, returns with their latest album, "Technaturalism".
The band has established itself as one of the most exciting acts in the new wave of Polish jazz. Their unique style and international reach are reflected in performances across 25 countries in Europe and Asia.

After three highly acclaimed albums – their debut "Ocelot of Salvation", "XD [Experience Design]", and recorded with saxophonist Michał Jan Ciesielski "Screens" – Immortal Onion continues to refine their one-of-a-kind sound. Their music combines electronic vibes, energetic rhythms, and a love for bold ideas.

"Technaturalism" takes their sound in a fresh direction, pushing beyond jazz to create something new. The album offers a captivating fusion of hardstyle energy with tender, lyrical moments, showcasing how the band integrates modern technology with an organic sensitivity.
Immortal Onion isn't afraid to take risks, breaking down musical and artistic boundaries. "Technaturalism" is proof of their creative courage and passion for exploring new ideas. For this album, the band took full control – composing, *recording, producing, and mixing it all themselves. This gave them the freedom to create a truly original sound.

The vinyl version was mastered by Stefan Betke at Scape Mastering, while Jacek Mazur handled the CD and streaming versions at M&S GmbH Mobile / Platinum Hamburg.

The album is being released by U Know Me Records, a globally respected label celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The artwork continues the band's collaboration with Marta "Martiszu" Ludwiszewska, who perfectly captures the playful and creative spirit of Immortal Onion. credits

Generacja JAZZ is a project showing a fragment of the new wave of Polish jazz, treading its own path, creating, touring and jamming across Europe. Borders don't exist - especially musical - the new generation is engaging with nightclubs, festivals and playlists. The time has now come to show its broader perspective. We created a project which involves a handful of groups that have already racked up debut albums and festival wins, as they set out on their musical odyssey. The groups also have other things in common, like their passion, originality and, for the needs of the project, age - all the artists during the recording of this album were under 30 years old. This is the new generation - the Jazz Generation.

For the Jazz Generation record we invited five bands who had already released debut albums: Immortal Onion, Klawo, Rejoin, Twoosty Mayonez and USO 9001. We also reserved two spots on the compilation for the winners of our open call competition, whereby on the basis of the jury's choice (jury: Monika Borzym, Paulina Przybysz, Envee, Wojtek Mazolewski i Marcin Groh Grośkiewicz) we met the winning bands: Kosmos and quietet.

The sleeve artist is Kornelia Nowak, who won our open call for young designers and graphic artists. Here once again we could rely on the opinion of a prestigious jury comprised of: Beata Śliwińska Barrakuz, Bovska, Maciej Animisiewasz Grochot, Grzegorz Forin Piwnicki i Marcin Groh Grośkiewicz.

Generacja JAZZ LP is also a start of the new imprint - U JAZZ ME, which will be focused on jazz from Poland.

Immortal Onion have already built a strong position as one of the most interesting, new jazz projects from Poland. After two well received albums ("Ocelot of Salvation" in 2017 and "XD [ExperienceDesign]" in 2020) we've had the pleasure of presenting the new re- lease called "Screens" recorded at the initiative of the saxophonist Michał Jan Ciesielski.

The songs composed by Michał confirm, that jazz electronic fusion can be still fresh and thrilling. The album, where beside Michał, Tomir, Wojtek and Ziemowit, you will find many guest instrumentalists. Thus resulting in a step forward made by the still young musician from TriCity.

It is worth mentioning, the song entitled "ZOZI" is enriched with the string parts recorded by Ola Szymańska on violin (Alfah Femmes, Ralph Kamiński, The Fruitcakes) and Weronika Kulpa on cello. Also, you can hear the brass section consisting of David Lipka on trumpet (Zgniłość, Bizzarre Penguin) and Paweł Niewiadomski on trombone (Power of the Horns). In the composition called "OK Boomer" you can hear characteristic guitar soundscape recorded by Marcin Gałązka (Tymon Tymański).

The whole album was recorded and mixed by Michał Jan Ciesielski. Mastering was done by Michał "Eprom" Baj. Graphic design was created by Marta "Martiszu" Ludwiszewska, who, like no one else senses the crazy spirit of immortal onion.

STAFF COMMENTS

Millie says: Now this is megaaa! I've tried to demonstrate in the clips how diverse this album is, 'Orange Moons' and 'Digital Relations' are more mellow, giving me a Gogo Penguin vibe whereas 'OK Boomer' (great name, which started lots of discussion in the shop) is heavier on the electronic side of things. My favourite track however is 'ZOZI', sultry jazz which just hits right.. listen to the whole track you'll know what I mean.
