Mammoth Balearic label Too Slow To Disco celebrates its 15th edition of their TSTD Edits with a seriously strong double header by Australian Dave Mathmos (who you might remember, graced the very first edition of this cult series).

Not straying far from the label’s remit; we get silky smooth Balearic-disco edits utilizing some of the friendliest, sunshine-beaming source material around. It’s a seductive formular that’s ran throughout the series, transporting you instantly to a land of paradise. The lapping waves, scorching sun and smell of calamari flooding the senses with each and every track as you picture yourself hammocked up by the ocean awaiting your cocktail of choice as you drift off into a lucid dance dream. Limited one-time vinyl release - don’t sleep!

Matt says: The Balearic juggernaut, Too Slow To Disco, continues its domination of the sunnier shorelines and olive groves with new signing Dave Mathmos who injects his own antipodean heat into proceedings.

UK duo Flying Mojito Bros have their unique sound, mixing several US styles together to make their own brand: disco, Westcoast and swamp / stoner rock become: swamp disco! (side B of the release is an edit for none other than the Grateful Dead!).

They have a huge following and just released their debut album. The duo has their boots firmly planted in dusty 70s sunsets, their pan-USA productions take cosmic country funk and rock to modern dancefloors via NYC Latin disco and baggy acid house - on a bed of hefty contemporary rhythms. Their music has turned party people loose in clubs, parties and late-night festival tents at Glastonbury, Bestival, Pikes Ibiza, Austin City Limits and beyond. In addition to residencies at The Social, Spiritland and Nobu, they've been invited to work their hoodoo on remixes of Flamingods, Raf Rundell (The 2 Bears), Black Peaches, Jouis, 77:78, Scott Hirsch, James Matthew VII, Katy J Pearson, Jeffrey Silverstein, Rudy Norman and more - releasing on prestigious independent labels such as Heavenly, Paper Recordings and Ubiquity.

Matt says: The highly collectable, hammock friendly series continues (except now we've actually got the weather for it!), inviting swamp disco mavericks Flying Mojito Bros along for an afternoon cantering around the pool.

New one on the highly commendable and collectable Too Slow To Disco. Ben Jamin is a Liverpool based DJ and producer with releases on labels such as Discoholics Anonymous, Hot Digits Music and most recent "Dance EP" on Hot Gorilla Records. Recent support includes airplay on BBC 6 Music Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show with "Hold On Me" making it onto Craig Charles' Best of 2022 show. The year also saw 5 top 100 positions on Traxsource and Ben also received a nomination for 'Emerging Producer of the Year 2022' at the OGV Music Awards.

As per the TSTD formular - we see sunshine grooves and pourings of soul, looped, filtered, and given extra sparkle by some choice DSP units. Source material ranging from the obscure to the well known, fun levels set to maximum!

Paul says: Still on this series! They never fail to deliver and are just what the doctor ordered as we peep our heads out of winter and into the brighter months ahead.
