The Energy formed in 2005 in the town of Warrington. The band are gaining a reputation for some riotous and exciting live performances. "Champagne Lifestyle", their debut EP is fronted by the track "Thursday Night Antics", 'an ode to our beloved home town and the various pitfalls that await you there..' says singer Danny Rimmer, '..mainly resulting in sneaking away on a Friday morning unnoticed'. The playful "I love Your Shoes" is followed by the raw rock'n'roll of "Little Johnny". Boasting familiar tales of dangers around your way and girls promising a bohemian world, the songs display contemporary social observations with a wit and charm. They have been compared to the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and the Dead 60s.
