Lydia Lunch

From The Page To The Stage

"From The Page To The Stage" is a workshop led by writer, performer and provocateur Lydia Lunch. During Lydua's Samarbeta Residency in October 2015 she led two workshops with 30+ participants. "From The Page To The Stage" is about artistic empowerment and motivation. This publication contains poetry and short stories from the participants of the workshops alongside some original work written by Lydia Lunch, accompanied by the audio from the live show as Islington Mill on 3rd November 2016. Lydia Lunch needs very little introduction: the queen of no-wave (Teenage Jesus and the Jerks), artist, writer and poet. She has produced spoken word records, curated performance series, worked with dozens of luminaries in film, music and literature. She has written five books, released over thirty LPs and continues to be a driving force in art, music, literature and performance, proving to be one of the most daring artists of the current era. Samarbete is a residency program run by Rivca Burns (Sounds From The Other City) and Emma Thompson (Fat Out) specifically aimed at musicians. An artist run program with the aim of giving musicians time away from everyday to further their creative practice.
