'Leaves from the Family Tree' is the anticipated third album from Paulusma, whose first two albums 'Scissors in my Pocket' (2004) and 'Fingers and Thumbs' (2007) were released on Bjork's label One Little Indian to widespread critical acclaim and which catapulted Paulusma around the world supporting Bob Dylan, Jamie Cullum and Coldplay.
Paulusma here goes from strength to strength, cashing in on a warm acoustic home-spun vibe and adding lush cinematic strings courtesy of Sherlock composer Michael Price. Other collaborations include double bass from Nizlopi's John Parker, backing vocals from US singer-sgonwriter Erin McKeown and banjo from alt-folk hero Adem. Paulusma founds her own label, Wild Sound, to release this and future albums.
