Incredibly vibrant set of remixes of the delectable Eden Burns, who's really won us over the last couple of years with his buoyant, feel good and energetic house energy.

DJ Boring keeps that flavour on his remix of "Invercargirl" - adding techy squeaks n squeals plus some nicely synthesized lead patches to create an incredibly scintillating piece of house music that's bound to uplift and invigorate.

Nice Girl matches if not supersedes energy levels with his fist-pumping power-boost of "Hands Off My Beat". Approaching those BPM levels the under-25s seem to going crazy for right now; it'll work alongside those Finn, Roza Terenzi and Telephones records that you've been wondering 'how will I find something equally as fast to mix into this?' - now you've got it!

Stalwarts of emotional techno, Red Axes get tricky with "Choir Song"; utilizing those manipulated choral sounds to great affect. Add a humming bass section and crisp drums and it's a great mid-session tool to get the crowd simmering white hot.

Finally, not wanting to be left in the shade, Eden himself steps up to remix his own "Big Bark" track. Adding those playful tribal elements we've come to love from the producer, echoed-out dub shards and quirky percussion elements all convene to make this joyous little number a real treat on the ears and feet. Hard not to shake a tail feather to this one I have to say! Fully endorsed by us here at Picc HQ. Don't sleep!

        Dead Kennedys

        DK 40

The Dead Kennedys released their first single, “California Uber Alles" in 1979, which started a punk rock revolution in San Francisco and means that 2019 is the 40th Anniversary year of this legendary pioneering punk band. The 40th Anniversary campaign officially kicked off in November on Record Store Day’s Black Friday with a limited edition LP of the 1978 Iguana Studios Rehearsal Demos. This LP was so successful that it actually charted on the Billboard Top 200!

The Dead Kennedys were and still are one of the most influential bands in the history of punk rock. They sold a lot of records, but even more importantly, they helped inspire a million people to start punk rock bands, they were the leaders of the revolution! Their lyrics were political in nature, antiestablishment and anti-authority and they always took a stance for First Amendment Rights. Their live shows were always high energy and powerful and that power is evident in the 3 performances included in “DK 40,”which includes all of their classic songs, including “Holiday In Cambodia.” It has been 15 years since the last Dead Kennedys release, but it will be worth the wait. “DK 40” is a must for any fans of the Dead Kennedys and vintage Punk Rock!

          Meat Beat Manifesto

          Impossible Star

Meat Beat manifesto formed in Swindon in 1987 by Jack Dangers (MBM's only permanent member) and "Impossible Star" is the first full length album in over seven years from the seminal electronic band. Minimal, textural and cinematic in scope, Impossible Star follows the music innovators deeper into more experimental territory. Impossible Star is a layered exploration of sounds and rhythms.

MBM's consistent musical invention has led to all forms of electronic musical experimentation over its 30 year history, from jungle to techno to industrial to dubstep to jazz fusion. Its long string of influential futuristic classics includes such groundbreaking tracks as "God O.D.", "Strap Down", "Psyche Out", "Helter Skelter", "Radio Babylon", "Edge of No Control" to "It's The Music".

Manchester's Manifesto haven't got many chords to play with, but their sunny take on low key 60s guitar pop ambles slowly forward like a ballad, whilst "Stuck In The Mud" sounds a bit more like it's got a Beatle in its back pocket. The style is attractive and the melodies promising. "Secrets & Lie's" and "Everyone Tells Me I'm Lazy" are two acoustic tracks which tells a story that is easily accessible and straight from the heart! And finally "Far Away" has the mix of Setting sun-Chemical Brothers and Fire Starter by The Prodigy a great overall sound and a tune to dance the night away!!

            Streetlight Manifesto

            Everything Goes Numb

Featuring members of Catch 22, "Everything Goes Numb" is a natural progression of Catch 22's "Keasbey Nights", showcasing not only energetic horn parts and fabulous harmonizing vocals, but intelligent lyrics focusing on the angst-ridden lives of young adults. This is a hugely anticipated album in the ska-punk underground – an unparalleled fusion of ska, jazz, reggae, swing and punk. For fans of Catch 22, Sublime, No Doubt and Less Than Jake.

              The Red Neck Manifesto

              Loopy Lou Meet Jimmy Jo

Three great tracks from Dublin's The Redneck Manifesto. "Loopy Lou Meets Jimmy Joe" is cleverly cut, melodic yet disjointed rock. "OK Frenchie" is a much different affair as a warm fuzzy vocal floats over a soothing backing track. "Pat Sherrill Jokes" ebbs and flows full of time signature changes and dynamic guitars. For fans of Billy Mahonie, Papa M, Black Heart Procession etc.

                Manifesto Jukebox

                Remedy

New band from Finland on BYO, Manifesto Jukebox is an instant winner. Currently kicking up a storm in the US they will appeal to fans of Hot Water Music, BoySetsFire and Husker Du. Revolutionary punk rock with social and political lyrics.
