MANIFESTO
This timeless album has been digitally re- mastered and comes in replicate packaging to the original release. Long out-of-print, this album has been on the collector's market since not long after first being released.
This classic line- up only stayed together for this one album, featuring drummer Nick Sanderson (The Jesus and Mary Chain), as well as guitar from Kid Congo Powers (The Cramps, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), bassist Romi Mori, and Blixa Bargeld (Einsturzende Neubauten, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) providing lead guitar on the haunting "Yellow Eyes."
The album was recorded under the guidance of producer Robin Guthrie, guitarist and co-founder of Cocteau Twins. Mother Juno is widely considered by many to be the swan song of the Gun Club discography.

"Free Your Mind" opens the record with one of his typically rubbery basslines onto which he places a seductive female vox and darting sfx. A gently bubbling acid line is tastefully stirs into the pot whilst Burns hits the kil switches for a live, dubby arrangement that'll whip the floor into a frenzy.
"Around N Around" pairs a live drum break to deep bass plumes and buzzsaw bleeps whilst a ghostly vocal snip hovers overhead. A twisted and unique track that shows us Eden's more than capable of delivering some moments of oddball wizardry.
"House Non Stop" deploys more precision 303s, tuned percussion hits and twisted vocal samples for a tribal-tinged, wigged-out wonder that's pure feathers, face paint and frivolities!
Final track "Multitool" sees cowbells, squelchy perx and rubber band bass combine for a track so quintessentially Eden Burns it has me giggling with excitement! The ultimate tribal party boy. One of his best records in the series - don't sleep!
STAFF COMMENTS

The Dead Kennedys were and still are one of the most influential bands in the history of punk rock. They sold a lot of records, but even more importantly, they helped inspire a million people to start punk rock bands, they were the leaders of the revolution! Their lyrics were political in nature, antiestablishment and anti-authority and they always took a stance for First Amendment Rights. Their live shows were always high energy and powerful and that power is evident in the 3 performances included in “DK 40,”which includes all of their classic songs, including “Holiday In Cambodia.” It has been 15 years since the last Dead Kennedys release, but it will be worth the wait. “DK 40” is a must for any fans of the Dead Kennedys and vintage Punk Rock!
