Lance Desardi returns to Legwork with some fresh, pumping, late nite house biznoinks. "Stop Start" cements itself to a subtle but growling Reece, while gated vox and sharp synth shard ricochet through the mix with style. Add a highly kinetic rhythm section and it's easy to hear why this is a no-brainer for the mid-session. "Zeus" continues the trend with a groove glued to a deep bass chug as psychedelic swirls and pill-friendly sfx encircle the mix.
Onto side B and "Yagota" unfurls the Kerri Chandler / New Jersey influences as it rides on low pass M1s, open hats and punchy kick. Finally, "What I Know" sets the swing up to 10, and installs some hefty drum machine thwacks and cracks alongside the producer's tight and succinct palette. Very nice.
