Bring It On - 2025 Reissue

‘Bring It On’ is the debut album by English indie rock band Gomez, first released on 13th April 1998.

Recording sessions for the album began in late 1997, during which time Gomez also toured the United Kingdom with Embrace.

The first single, ‘78 Stone Wobble’, was released in March 1998, while ‘Get Myself Arrested’ and ‘Whippin’ Piccadilly’ were later released as singles.

‘Bring It On’ experienced a boost in popularity when it won the 1998 Mercury Music Prize, beating such favourites as Massive Attack’s ‘Mezzanine’ and The Verve’s ‘Urban Hymns’.

Gomez later toured the United States as the support artist for Eagle-Eye Cherry.

This repress uses 2018 remastered audio and is pressed on red transparent vinyl.

In Our Gun - 2025 Reissue

Sessions for their third album were held at Batsford Manor and Real World Studios, where the band and Miti Adhikari handling recording, with assistance from Claire Lewis.

The band and Adhikari mixed the recordings at Real World, while Frank Arkwright mastered the album at The Townhouse.

Split The Difference - 2025 Reissue

‘Split The Difference’ is the fourth studio album by English indie rock band Gomez, released on 17th May 2004.

Production on the album was overseen by the band and Tchad Blake, known for producing albums by artists such as Tom Waits and Crowded House.

The album was met with mixed critical response, with AllMusic rating it as four stars out of five and BBC Internet Music Reviews describing it as “one of the finest releases of the year so far. If you were one of those people who wrote them off two years ago, it’s time to get listening again.”

Liquid Skin - 2025 Reissue

‘Liquid Skin’ is the second album by English rock group Gomez, released on 13th September 1999.

Following the release of their debut studio album ‘Bring It On’ (1998), the band began recording their follow-up between August 1998 and June 1999 at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, and Abbey Road Studios in London. Gomez were allowed to selfproduce the sessions after their label heard the strength of their demos.

Described as a blues rock album, ‘Liquid Skin’ was compared to the work of Beck, The Grateful Dead and Pearl Jam.

‘Liquid Skin’ received favourable reviews from critics, many of whom found it to be a retread of ‘Bring It On’ with improved production.

All three singles reached the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, with ‘Rhythm & Blues Alibi’ peaking the highest at Number 18.

Broadcasting From Home - 2024 Repress

‘Broadcasting From Home’ is the third studio album by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra, released in 1984.

The opening song was named after Penguin Cafe Orchestra leader Simon Jeffes found a discarded harmonium in an alleyway in Japan.

This is the first repress since 1987 and uses the 2008 remaster.

‘Signs Of Life’ is the fourth studio album by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

It was recorded at the Penguin Cafe between 1985 and 1987 and released in March 1987.

It includes ‘Perpetuum Mobile’, one of their most famous pieces.

The album reached Number 49 in the UK Albums Chart.

This is the first repress since 1987 and uses the 2008 remaster.

The Penguin Cafe Mini Album - 2024 Repress

‘The Penguin Cafe Orchestra Mini Album’ is an EP by Penguin Cafe Orchestra consisting of six pieces, two derived from previous released recordings (‘The Penguin Cafe Single’ and ‘Air À Danser’), two that were recorded from a live performance in Tokyo (‘Numbers 1-4’ and ‘Salty Bean Fumble’), and two previously unreleased pieces which had not appeared elsewhere (‘The Toy’ and ‘Piano Music’).

The two live pieces were recorded by NHK Radio at the Kan-i Hoken Hall on 10 June 1982.

‘Piano Music’ is a solo piece recorded by Simon Jeffes in Tokyo on 7 July 1982 and ‘The Toy’ was recorded in 1983.

The cover painting was by Emily Young.

This is the first repress since 1983.

‘When In Rome...’ is a 1988 live album by Penguin Cafe Orchestra, and was recorded at The Royal Festival Hall, London, on 9 July 1987. It was produced by Simon Jeffes.

The cover painting is by Emily Young.

This iteration has for the first time the full gig and uses the 2008 remaster.

So Much For The City - 2024 Reissue

‘So Much For The City’ is the debut album from the Irish indie band, The Thrills.

It was released on 27 May 2003 and quickly achieved success in Ireland, spending 61 weeks in the Top 75 of the Irish Albums Chart. The album also won Album Of The Year at the National Music Awards. It gained significant popularity in the UK, debuting at #3 and remaining in the charts for 25 weeks.

The single ‘Big Sur’ reached #17 in the UK and remains their highest charted position in the country to date.

The album was nominated for the 2003 Mercury Prize and was included in the book ‘1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die’.

The song ‘Santa Cruz (You’re Not That Far)’ was ranked by Q Magazine at Number 550 on their list of the 1001 Best Songs Ever Made.
