EEE013

Takin it back to the old school, EEE return sampling another great from days gone by, working it into a house leaning warper.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: A new one from one of my favourite labels for what we used to call secret weapon tackle. Terrace friendly mash-ups that the whole family can enjoy. Unlikely to be aired on NTS.

EEE012

EEE supply a certified slice of summer sun with a raucous roller sure to get any party going. Considering it's around a gazillion degrees outside today, Bill Withers' "Lovely Day" is utterly appropriate, and if your endorphins needed an extra large boost, EEE have transformed it into a total tech house roller which massively ups the ante after DJ Spinna's mix way back when.

EEE 007

Ain’t no rest for the wicked! EEE show no signs of letting up with another masterful melding of styles, taking a well known jazz motif and flipping it into one of their trademark tribal rollers. Sure to turn heads the world over and always a favourite with the DJs playing to the prime dancefloor demographic of 18-25 year olds, I like the way this firm never take themselves too seriously but always put out a pleaser! Full marks.

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Here's the cheeky ass EEE crew back with another naaawty refix. You'll recognize that clarinet riff off a plethora of 90s furniture adverts; now watch the club-ready jet set get all gurny to it!

EEE010

EEE are back with another instant head turner, coupling a minimal, sub bass roller with a sampled ‘60s vocal that works oh so well with a shuffling beat behind it. The hype is already at boiling point on this one, so be quick on the trigger or beg Matt Ward for a loose copy.

Way back when I had a crowdpleasing 12" called 'Maximal Micheal / Minimal Elvis" (I'm reliably informed by Discogs' commenter Draasima that it was by DJ Koze) the flips of which housed a grooving tech house take on Elvis' recording of Fever. Well now, the mysterious EEE crew, masters of the tech house banger with BIG VOCAL put their spin on Peggy Lee's "Fever" turning out an absolute floor filler in the process.

12 inch, one sided white label, handstamped and pressed on 180G vinyl

    STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Illicit tech-house refix firm EEE stomp on, arms up, pumping fists completely nonchalant to the global party lockdown. I guess everyone's live stream needs an injection of fun and frolics on occasion; and if nailing a huuuuuge line of K whilst getting jiggy on the terrace is your thing then this record will at least serve to transport you at least halfway there... Look out fer the next one too - it's a banger a promise! ;)

Cheeky little edit of a true dancefloor classic. Anyone under the age of 25 might not remember just how much damage St. Germain's "Rose Rouge" caused on the dancefloors of Manchester (and I'm sure everywhere else) around the turn of the millennium. Hammered by everyone from Laurent Garnier to the Unabombers to Mr Scruff and Gilles Peterson this was a true crossover record, it's hypnotic repetition winding the whole floor up to a salivating frenzy with its incessant keys and evocative vocal refrain. Well, here it is, back with a thumpin' kick to keep the ADHD infected yoof of today happy, whilst the rest of it is gloriously left intact.

One sided limited pressing, probably highly illicit so act now before it vanishes!

    STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Piccadilly purists might wince but adding a hefty kick drum under Saint Germain is sometimes all it takes for some dancefloor genius. Loose your ego and get stuck into this beast you won't be sorry.
