Live At Third Man Records

ADULT. have been stalwarts of national independent music for almost two decades, releasing their perfectionist hybrid of darkwave and synth-pop with respected labels Thrill Jockey, Kill Rock Stars, Ghostly International and, most recently, Mute. The soundscapes this Detroit duo sculpts by synthesizer stabs and sparse drum machine rhythm are icy, dense and precise. This release showcases the group in rare form, complete with the totally unexpected and kind of jarring sound of raucous audience laughter in place of typical applause as the intro as well as a light audible fuzz created by the third member of the group that night, their fog machine ;) Best of all, two of the tracks, Misshaped and Does the Body Know?, make their premiere on this release. ADULT. have outlasted any number of micro-electronic music scenes with whom they could have been grouped and, with their live show down to a science, prove that they will be worth a damn for a long time coming.

John Carpenter In Association With Alan Howarth

    They Live - OST

A classic story of one man fighting for the freedom of the world with a great science-fiction twist. This movie is full of amazing dialogue and also contains the greatest fist fight in the history of cinema. Like most of Carpenter's films, They Live has an urban-western feel to it, which is emphasized by the infectious score.

Celebrated designer and artist Alan Hynes has crafted a spectacular collectible package for the soundtrack befitting the film’s theme of subliminal communication, utilizing the iconic sunglasses to reveal hidden messages as you pull the disc sleeve from the slip case.

Carpenter and Howarth's main theme conjures up images of a lone cowboy entering town, with the main melody augmented with the sounds of harmonica and saxophone. There's a carefree attitude which reflects Rowdy Roddy Piper's character, but the score takes on a more sinister tone when he realizes he doesn't know anything about what's really going on. Carpenter's signature synth tones create an uncomfortable atmosphere, but the main bassline is always fighting against them, never giving up. Electric guitar is used fleetingly, but brilliantly, and the whole score embodies the kind of rebelling against authority Carpenter is famous for. They Live will rock your world without the need for a Brazilian plastic surgeon to put you back together again.

          SOHN

SOHN Live With The Metropole Orkest

Late last year the British producer and songwriter shared the stage with the Grammy-winning Metropole Orkest and conductor Hans Ek for the opening night of Amsterdam Music Event.

Combining SOHN’s signature glacial electronics with the 54 person-strong classical orchestra, the one-off live performance at celebrated Dutch venue Melkweg brought to life his best known songs such as ‘The Wheel’, ‘Conrad’ and ‘Artifice’.

SOHN says, “It was an incredible opportunity to work with the Metropole on sculpting a very special evening in Amsterdam - the arrangements elevated the songs to another dimension, and luckily we recorded it all…. The album ended up being more than just a live record to me, it’s somehow a hybrid of dry electronics and rich orchestration and I’m very proud of how it turned out.”

Nocturne (Live At The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival)

Live album from legendary founder of CAN.

Nocturne (live at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival) comprises three pieces performed live on a partly prepared piano, along additional pre-recorded soundscapes.

The live performance of ‘Klavierstück II’ is a pensive improvisation using essential elements of the original piece.

‘Nocturne’ starts with the ambient sounds whilst the piano seemingly melts into the soundscape and eventually grows into a long meditative piano solo.

‘Yonder’ is a much more dramatic piece, dominated by the overwhelming sounds of church bells, a sort of “dies irai”, radical, emotional and fiercely poetic.

Prince & The New Power Generation

                One Nite Alone... Live!

After The Rainbow Children release and before the release of the One Nite Alone… studio album, Prince embarked on a tour of the same name. However, as opposed to the intimacy of the largely solo One Nite Alone… album, this upbeat trek through theaters in North America featured the full talents of Prince’s ever-expanding New Power Generation band. Members at the time included drummer John Blackwell, keyboardist Renato Neto and longtime collaborators like bassist Rhonda Smith and a horn section that included saxophonists Eric Leeds, Candy Dulfer and Maceo Parker. Taken from the highlights of 9 different shows in March and April of 2002 and clocking in at over 2 hours, the resulting 4 LP collection One Nite Alone…

Live! was the first official live album of Prince’s career and the 27 tracks included feature selections from The Rainbow Children as well as Prince’s extensive back catalog, played with the full NPG as well as several solo piano excursions (“When U Were Mine,” “Raspberry Beret,” “Adore,” “The Beautiful Ones,” “Nothing Compares 2 U”). This release marks the first time that it’s available on vinyl.

                  Munehiro Narita

                  Live P.S.F.

Cardinal Fuzz and Feeding Tube Records bring forth the cranium busting - Munehiro Narita - ‘Live P.S.F (Psychedelic San Francisco)’. Recorded live at the Hemlock Tavern (by PSF worshiper Ethan Miller). For those young pups not quite in the know - Munehiro Narita, the original "psychedelic speed freak," is for many people the undisputed king of the motorcycle fuzz guitar. Active since the late '70s, Narita is a Japanese psychedelic underground legend. After playing in cult bands like Kyoaku no Intention, he founded the brutal heavy-psych power trio High Rise in the '80s and more recently Green Flames with his furious guitar playing, which involves lethal doses of fuzz-wah at ear-splitting volume. Narita was lucky to be in the right place in Tokyo to see many performances by one of the most out of control guitar players ever to handle 6 strings in Takashi Mizutani (Les Rallizes Denudes) as well as taking in wild performances from Keiji Haino, Gaseneta and their take no prisoner maelstrom is a style that Munehiro holds dear too.

When Munehiro Narita needed a band for playing 4 west cost dates in 2017 Steve Krakow knew that LA Acid Punk David Jasso (OGOD) would be the perfect musician/foil for Narita (it should be noted that David released Green Flames on his Assommer label). David in turn knew TJ – A drummer who hits hard and was more than capable of handling the cruel punishment it requires to play real Speed Freak music. Six tracks were quickly nailed in rehearsals – a selection of High Rise (4) and Green Flames (2) tunes were then played over the four dates. The shows left audience stunned (listen to the reaction from this show) and by the time of the San Francisco show they were on fire. Luckily Ethan Miller was there to press record and document this feral in the red paint peeler of a gig as Munehiro Narita peels off wah soaked fireballs on top of the primal throb and groove that David Jasso and TJ lay down.

Another of the hopefully famed Cardinal Fuzz bootleg style releases that is so beloved of myself – By that I mean recordings that are distorting while warping time and space at the same time with Munehiro Narita guitar playing out front in the mix (which is how I love my music – guitars up front and laying waste to all) – By the time you get to their whirlwind take on closing number “Pop Sicle,” a tune bringing to mind the most frantic of Les Rallizes Denudes (think Fantastique) the energy and wildness of the recording perfectly captures the wild fury of all 3 musicians playing and creating an energy that is impossible to sedate.

Ethan Miller somehow managed to capture and record some of the most brutal playing in prime tape saturated / in the red glory for you know to relive.
The positivity of these shows eventually lead to all 3 members forming P.S.F. and their debut LP was released on Black Editions in 2019 which was a full-throttle adrenaline shot into the 21st Century (seek it out).

                        Elbow

Live At The Ritz - An Acoustic Performance

In the week that their eighth studio album, ‘Giants of All Sizes’, became their third consecutive UK Number One album, elbow played a series of special acoustic shows for select audiences in Leeds, Kingston and Manchester. Combining tracks from the new album with songs from their extensive and ever growing back catalogue, the shows offered fans a rare opportunity to see elbow in small venues, with the recordings emphasising the special bond that exists between the band and their fanbase.

The short tour included two sold out, hometown shows at Manchester’s Ritz, a place that looms large in the band’s history, being the site of a legendary headline show on the release of their debut album ‘Asleep in the Back’ in 2001 that had the Manchester Evening News display their fortune telling skills when they suggested ‘elbow are on the verge of something big’.

The Ritz set reminded fans of that history with versions of both ‘Newborn’ and ‘Scattered Black and Whites’ from that debut album alongside versions of ‘Grounds for Divorce’ from ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’, ‘Magnificent (She Says)’ from ‘Little Fictions’ and ‘Great Expectations’ from ‘Leaders of the Free World’. As befits an album from a band so intrinsically intertwined with their hometown, the show also saw Guy Garvey quote John Cooper Clarke and pay tribute to various Manchester luminaries lost along the way.

In 2012 Durand Jones left his small-town in Louisiana, alto saxophone in tow, for the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. “Being a singer was never part of the plan,” Jones admits. But soon enough he found his way in front of a rowdy rock-n-roll band belting out a rambunctious rendition of “Dock Of The Bay,” to a basement full of drunken undergrads. That rowdy band unfolded into The Indications which includes founding members Aaron Frazer (drums, lead vocals) and Blake Rhein (guitar).

Inspired by a handful of dusty and obscure 45s bearing names like The Ethics, Brothers of Soul and The Icemen, The Indications set out to make a record steeped in heavy drums, blown-out vocals, and deep grooves. Gathered around a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder and a case of Miller HighLife, the group spent their Sunday evenings recording into the early hours of the morning. The result is their modern soul masterpiece Durand Jones & The Indications (Dead Oceans/Colemine Records).

With comparisons from Charles Bradley, Lee Fields to Al Green, this young band are now at the forefront of 60’s soul revival. Their sweaty, fiery live shows have earned them a reputation for giving it their all each night which can be witnessed on Durand Jones & The Indications Live Vol. 1. Available for the first time on limited translucent blue vinyl, the album includes tracks from their debut and deep cut soul covers fans have become accustomed

Tempting us with some Summer (read: Spring) sunshine, the Star Creature cartel's ever-faithful renditions of modern funk, new boogie and bedroom soul music continues to remain top of the charts.

Regular starting 11, E Live heads up a home attack with two sides apparently dedicated to California.

I have to admit there's a sun scorched, urban swagger to both tracks which unfurl languidly like a stroll down Sunset Boulevard in the late afternoon swelter. Pitch bent keyboard licks decorate both tracks while searing synth-string patches provide that sexual tension. Add a voluptuous bottom end complete with heavily slapped bass and these are the early evening vibrations you need sir!

As always limited copies and very high demand.

                          The Pop Group

                          Y Live

The Y Live album is an essential addendum to the original release, one that captures all the fierce urgency of The Pop Group’s live performances at the time. Comprised of Y era recordings captured at a variety of locations including New York, Manchester & Brussels – the latter on a bill with William Burroughs and Joy Division – Y Live exemplifies what had proved so thrilling about The Pop Group. A snapshot of a time when the group were sharing stages with future acolytes including Cabaret Voltaire, Linton Kwesi Johnson & Public Image Ltd, Mark Stewart describes the recordings as attempts to ‘paint the impossible’.

                            Dungen

                            Dungen Live

Dungen Live is a document of a band playing with and beyond time, passionately reviving a slowly storied history of sound. A captivating ride captured and collaged from two shows in their native Sweden and assembled into one piece of continuous music by producer Matthias Glava. Dungen Live covers all the peaks and valleys, the moments of intuition and inspiration, and the cosmic connectivity between a family of musicians that makes each Dungen show a spiritual shift.

The source material for Live was recorded, in late November 2015, at Stora Teatern in Gothenburg and Victoriateatern in Malmö. Joined by Swedish sax deity Jonas Kullhammar (who brought his skills to Allas Sak), these were undoubtedly some massive experiences. Live drops us into moments where Dungen’s right at the edge of the cliff, right at the point where they’re getting out of the time machine to bust into John Anthony’s studio right when Affinity is cutting their album for Vertigo, right at the point where you discover the break on a record that snaps into place over some hip hop track you’ve been listening to for years, and you play it over and over.

Entirely instrumental (including a footstompin’ cover of Doug Jerebine’s “Ain’t So Hard to Tell” – check with our buds over at Drag City for the full story on that one), Live showcases what Dungen does best: create a vibe where none existed, build a mood out of circumstance, attack the music with a fan’s soul and a master’s scorching virtuosity. It extends moments out of their catalogue that seemed like they were already explored and breathes new life into them, at times graceful, at others rambunctious, and sometimes a little of both. It stirs memories of when those first import copies of Ta det lungt hit the record store, how we listened in awe and watched the customers turn around, that first shock of awareness, that anxiety over trying to take home what appeared

American Folk Blues Festival Live In Manchester 1962

Manchester Free Trade Hall was host to two concerts on Sunday October 21st 1962 that acted as a catalyst to the nascent British Blues & R&B boom, on the verge of breaking out of its suburban home in Ealing, West London. The shows were promoted by Stockport-based Paddy MacKiernan under the Jazz Unlimited banner and attracted a crowd of around two thousand enthusiasts, who saw the first major concert in Britain to feature American bluesmen. Manchester was the only UK date on the 1962 American Folk-Blues Festival tour and it was attended by blues fans from all over the country through what Paul Jones called ‘the bush telegraph’. With Jones were Alexis Korner and Macclesfield-born John Mayall, plus extraordinarily a contingent of younger fans who had made the trip in a clapped out van from London. Why extraordinary? Because the van contained some of the future superstars of the British scene: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Brian Jones and Jimmy Page. The Stones by this time had just a dozen gigs under their belts and Page had recently embarked on the first stage of his career as a session guitarist. David Williams dedicates a whole chapter to the road trip in his book The First Time We Met The Blues. “It must have been around early September 1962 when news filtered down the grapevine…We could hardly believe that real blues artists were going to appear here in our country…were regarded somewhat like mystic gods within our circle…(Jimmy Page) realised that he would not be able to make the journey with us as he was already booked to play a gig with Neil Christian on the Saturday night…it was agreed Jim would travel up by train on the Sunday and we would find space for him in the van for the journey back overnight…Graham (Ackers) was a pretty good driver and soon managed to find his way through Central London to a square ...where we picked up Mick, Keith and Brian.” Keith Richards remembers it differently, “Mick sometimes had the use of his parents’ Triumph Herald at the weekend and I remember we went to see a big blues show in Manchester.” Jimmy Page: “When David Williams told me of the impending visit of the initial American Folk-Blues Festival to England, I was keen to join the pilgrimage to Manchester. It was not only the first time that I would actually see artists like John Lee Hooker and T-Bone Walker perform, but it was also the first time I met Mick Jagger, Brian Jones and Keith Richards, who came with us on the trip. We were all like-minded enthusiasts and in those days we regarded the artists we were going to see as idols.” ABC TV filmed the second show and broadcast it in two parts for its Tempo programme. The recordings (from the Newby collection) are of excellent sound quality and were taken off air by direct line into a Tandberg reel to reel recorder.

Epic, panoramic, and intimate all at the same time, the legendary Toronto collective Broken Social Scene. An ideal artist to soundtrack an evening. Their live set was captured, mixed and mastered in real time via the world's only live venue and direct-to-acetate lathe cutting studio. Third Man are very excited to invite you all to be a part of this live recording in the only venue in the world where performance, art and tactile transcription methodologies converge... //// Third Man Records had the pleasure of hosting the legendary Toronto collective Broken Social Scene began as an ebbing and flowing collective of artists in the late 90s, collaborating to create a distinct strand of indie rock that is both perplexingly maximal and straight-up catchy. The band kicked off the set with emotive fan favorite "Cause = Time", then transitioning into "Stay Happy," the lead track from 2017's "Hug of Thunder," in all it's hypnotic, horn-driven grandeur. Then, on the flip side, the album's 2-song B-side wraps with the slow-build anthem "It's All Gonna Break," a song once described as "Bob Seger on acid." Really, how else would you want a show to close? With the release of this live album, Third Man is very excited to invite all to be a part of this special experience, Broken Social Scene's first commercially available live album.

                                      Live At SO36

Sleaford Mods' third Berlin show took place at Kreuzberg's legendary SO36 club. The band took to the stage on a hot sweaty June night and played to a sold out audience. The show was captured by a german documentary crew and this limited edition album captures the highlights of that incendiary performance. Amongst the 14 tracks on the album are favourites like "Tied Up In Nottz", "Jobseeker", "Fizzy" and the great crowd-pleaser and closer "Tweet, Tweet, Tweet". The recording is testament to the connection between the band and those that follow them. Hear the glorious carnage and madness throughout the record's duration. No language barriers, no borders, no restrictions of any kind. This album also represents the first release on Harbinger Sound's new USA subsidiary label.

It was one of the most peculiar landings of the Sun Ra Arkestra. Time: 7 December 1986, Polish People’s Republic, still separated from the West by the Iron Curtain. It's a grey and poor twilight of a real socialism era. In three years the Eastern Bloc would collapse, but what still occupies the minds of Poles now is mostly the martial law imposed by the Pro-Moscow regime in 1981, when the country wanted to free itself from the influence of the Soviet Union. Place: Kalisz, one of the oldest Polish cities dating back to the 10th century, historically connected with the first kings of Poland, grew into a multinational centre with time as not only the Czech Brethren escaping the Habsburg monarchy found refuge here, but also prominent rabbis known across Europe used to operate and expound in the local Jewish community.

In the 20th century Kalisz became a provincial city and its presence in the cultural life of Poland was most significantly marked with the International Jazz Piano Festival. It was during the 13th edition of the festival that Sun Ra Arkestra performed. What turned out to be most memorable for the concert-goers was the closing procession of musicians who left the stage to walk around the audience, circle the venue, and return. Researchers of the Sun Ra mysticism recognized such gestures as rituals of passage corresponding to the cosmic cycles of death and resurrection. From a European perspective, Sun Ra's work turns out to be a dream come true for Wagner and Stockhausen. His music brought the myth to life. The myth connecting the past with the future – above the unfavourable present – which created a sphere of freedom. However, Ra used to say that it was not freedom that was at stake here, but precision and discipline.

                                            The Flaming Lips

The Soft Bulletin - Live At Red Rocks

On 26th May 2016, The Flaming Lips performed their universally acclaimed 1999 album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety with the Colorado Symphony at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. This particular event has been regarded by those in attendance as one of the most awe-inspiring, moving and magical moments of a lifetime. For the Lips and their fans, perhaps the apex of a magnificent interpretation that will remain as rewarding and emotionally-charged as it was that night in 2016. The Flaming Lips performed the 12-track album in its original sequence with new arrangements accompanied by a 69-piece orchestra and 56-strong chorus. The performance was conducted by the internationally celebrated conductor Andre De Ridder.

Now, the resulting live recording is being released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Soft Bulletin. The album was the band’s breakthrough moment and featured the hit singles “Race for the Prize” and “Waitin’ for a Superman.”

                                              Rostam

                                              Live At Third Man Records

Recorded shortly after his solo debut album Half-Light (and about 2 years following his departure from Vampire Weekend), Third Man had the distinct pleasure of hosting Rostam, as he graced the Third Man Blue Room stage in Nashville with a penetratingly thoughtful yet cheery set of whole-hearted indie electronica, fi lled out with bongos and a string section.

The live document is a very special one because it contains only songs from Half-Light, tour-tight and with clever nuances, nods and charm that can only be captured live. Not to say that this was anything but an outstanding live recording, complete with expertly commanded vocals and elegantly crafted strings. For those of us who weren’t able to see live, a standout moment is the playful fourth track “Wood”, which nourishes a lush, dynamic, beautiful little world into The Greater Consciousness. This live album was recorded direct-to-2” tape in the Blue Room.

                                                Gaz Coombes

                                                Sheldonian / Live / EP

The EP consists of four songs recorded live at the Oxford Sheldonian earlier this year and is to be released on 20th December on digital and vinyl.

The EP comes following his charity concert at the Sheldonian Theatre to mark the 350th anniversary of Christopher Wren’s iconic building. Gaz performed a bespoke set with an orchestral arrangement with Luke Lewis conducting. All proceeds from the concert were donated to two local charities, Yellow Submarine of which supports people with learning difficulties, and the Young Women’s Music Project (YWMP) with Suzy Bowtell of the charity opening the show.

Previously, Gaz released his album ‘World’s Strongest Man’ back in 2018 which was the follow up to 2015’s ‘Matador’ – a record conceived, recorded and mixed in the studio equivalent of solitary confinement. It transported Gaz from ‘former Supergrass frontman’ to hugely respected Mercury and Ivor Novello nominated solo artist in the space of ten months. After this came ‘Salamander’, the first release after the highly acclaimed album. The track was written and recorded by Gaz at his Oxford studio, co-produced alongside long-time collaborator Ian Davenport, and featured guest performances from members of his incredible touring band.

A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live At Le Bataclan

‘A Beautiful Thing: IDLES Live at Le Bataclan’ is the brand new live album from IDLES, recorded at Le Bataclan in Paris on 3rd December 2018, at the close of a 90 date world tour. The album celebrates the band’s success over the last two years, featuring songs from ‘Brutalism’ and ‘Joy as an Act of Resistance’, and highlights their overall message of unity, and of healing through community.

“Our show at Bataclan was the end of a very long journey for us. On that tour we learnt so much about ourselves, each other and the audiences we have grown with over the past 10 years. That show was nothing short of catharsis and nothing more than love. We love what we do and the people who have carried us here, there was no hiding that at Bataclan and we are so very grateful that the moment was captured in all its glory, love and fatigue. Long live the open minded and long live the moment.” - Joe Talbot

Barry says: A beautiful thing indeed, Idles bring all of their vitriol and political fire to the legendary Bataclan, and it couldn't be more perfect a performance. Rawkous, huge and scathing, a live album not to be missed.

The band recently unearthed the original professional recordings that were taken direct from the soundboard and had them specifically mastered for this release. Scott Hill, lead vocals/guitar of Fu Manchu comments: "Playing Roadburn back in 2003 was a blast! It was the year before we put out "Start The Machine” and we played a couple of songs from it live for the first time on that tour. One of the songs that’s on this live record, “I Wanna Be,” is a different arrangement than what ended up on the final studio release. We're stoked that the show was recorded and that people will get to hear it. Always a good time playing at Roadburn!" This is a legendary Fu set including classics “Squash That Fly,” “Hell On Wheels,” “Boogie Van” and “King Of The Road.

Founded by its only constant member, Mark E. Smith, The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and were one of the most prominent post-punk groups in the world. Musically, there may have been several stylistic changes over the years, but it was often characterised by an abrasive guitar-driven sound and frequent use of repetition, always underpinned by Smith's distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics.

                                                            Mono

Before The Past - Live From Electrical Audio

Brand new recordings of some classic early MONO songs that have become fan favorites and live staples. MONO formed in Tokyo, Japan in the closing winter weeks of December, 1999. They played their first live shows at the top of the new millennium, and released their first album, Under The Pipal Tree, in 2001. Recorded live in one day on a razor-thin budget, Pipal Tree was an earnest introduction to the curious magic of a band that would eventually become synonymous with monstrously dynamic, contemporary classical rock music. To commemorate those austere beginnings - and celebrate their remarkable longevity - MONO revisit three of their earliest songs, and retrofit them with speaker-destroying upgrades.

Anchored by the towering 16-minute noise opus, "Com(?)", Before The Past - Live From Electrical Audio shows the evolution of MONO's execution, stripping away the strings and layers of guitar overdubs to show just how massive this band can be at their most instrumentally austere. Newly recorded in one day in 2019 with longtime collaborator, Steve Albini - and mixed by Albini with Temporary Residence founder, Jeremy deVine - Before The Past is as much a declaration of the present as it is a document of the past. These songs, which are now 20 years old, feel more powerful and profound than ever; a testament to MONO's enduring dedication to their craft, and their dogged exploration of maximum minimalism

                                                              Live At The Apollo

2019 has seen the band complete a mammoth 32 date UK tour, ending in an epic finale in Manchester’s intimate Gorilla venue, which sold out in a matter of minutes. The Slow Readers Club also performed at a number of UK festivals including a main stage appearance at Neighbourhood Weekender in Victoria Park, Warrington on May 26th alongside their fellow Northern contemporaries Richard Ashcroft and The Charlatans. But more excitingly for the band was their first ever European headline tour which included 15 dates across Europe before they hit Madrid in July for Mad Cool Festival.

“We’ve had plenty of fans making contact asking us to play all over Europe, so it’s great to finally be able to do so,” says singer Aaron Starkie. "We had a great response at a few European festivals last year (Reeperbahn, Kaltern pop and Haldern pop) so we're looking forward to getting back out there to build on that”. Following their Summer festival slots the band will close out the year with a string of December shows, including two massive, sold out hometown gigs at O2 Ritz Manchester.

                                                                Marvin Gaye

                                                                What's Going On Live

Designated “Marvin Gaye Day,” it began with Gaye giving a speech to students at Cardozo High, the school he’d attended, before he and his parents were ushered by motorcade to other points around the city. They visited the office of D.C.’s mayor, Walter Washington, who presented Gaye with a key to the city.

A VIP reception followed at the U.S. House of Representatives’ Rayburn House Office Building, before the evening’s hotly anticipated main event at the Kennedy Center: Marvin Gaye’s first live performance in four years. After opening acts and onstage testimonials by others, Gaye finally took the stage at around 11pm. The legendary concert – Marvin Gaye’s only live performance of his iconic 1971 What’s Going On album in full – was recorded. After being shelved for decades, the recording was eventually released on CD in 2001 within Motown/UMe’s expanded deluxe edition for Gaye’s What’s Going On album.

Never before issued on vinyl or as a standalone CD, What’s Going On Live is newly mixed by John Morales at M+M Mix Studios and mastered by Alex Abrash at AA Mastering for its October 18 release by Motown/UMC. The album is making its vinyl debut in black 2LP with deluxe gatefold packaging, in addition to CD. The vinyl and CD packages include rare photos from Gaye’s performance and new liner notes by Marvin Gaye biographer David Ritz. What’s Going On Live includes the only known live recordings of Gaye performing four songs: “That's The Way Love Is” and “You,” which he opened the D.C. concert with as part of a meditative 13-minute medley; “Right On;” and “Wholy Holy.” Due to an unfortunate lag in switching the first reel-to-reel tape to a second one during the concert, Gaye’s performance of “Mercy Mercy Me” from the What’s Going On album was not successfully recorded.

                                                                  The Myrrors

Black Sand : Live In London

Back in 2015 Arizona-based desert drone outfit The Myrrors were invited to perform at the Fuzz Club Festivala London festival hosted by Fuzz Club Records and local promoters Bad Vibrations. Taking their otherworldly 'Sonoran trance music' to the stage of London Fields Brewhouse, The Myrrors unleashed a breathtakingly transcendental and all-consuming performance that across its three 'parts' – rarely deviating from the solitary note held throughout the set – spectacularly joined the dots between everything from classical minimalism and drone music, through to psychedelic rock, desert blues, Eastern folk and free jazz; perhaps the sort of music La Monte Young might have made if he tuned his mystical drone meditations towards rockier territory and swapped the artsy NYC avant-garde scene for the Sonoran desert that The Myrrors call home. Some four years on from that now-mythologised show and Fuzz Club, having sat impatiently on the live audio for years, will finally be releasing the performance on vinyl and digital for all to immerse themselves in. 'Black Sand: Live In London' is due for release August 30th and comprises three pieces – "Part I: Arena Negra // International Front", "Part II: El Aleph // Danza Perdida // Warpainting" and "Part III: The Forward Path" – which, not that you'll be able to discern where each begins or ends, loosely comprises songs from their 2008 debut LP Burning Circles In the Sky and 2015s Arena Negra.

Recorded over four nights in Germany during what turned out to be Spacemen 3's final tour, ‘Live in Europe 1989’ is far better than the more ragged earlier Spacemen 3 live album, 1988's ‘Performance’. The album's also notable for documenting the group's short-lived quartet line-up, with bassist Willie Carruthers and drummer Jon Mattock. Despite the change in rhythm sections, the focus is, as always, on guitarists Pete Kember and Jason Pierce, who by this point in the group's career aren't even pretending to be interested in standard verse-chorus-verse structure. Rather surprisingly, only one of the 13 tracks; a 16-minute take on Playing With Fire's centre-piece track ‘Suicide’ breaks the ten-minute barrier that was so often smashed through on the group's studio recordings, but there's still an epic, expansive feel to these loose, perfectly ragged performances. Although newcomers are advised to start with Playing with Fire or Recurring, Live in Europe 1989 is essential for fans.

                                                                        Live At Third Man Records

Iron & Wine performed and recorded an absolutely captivating live set of songs in the Blue Room venue at Third Man Records in Nashville. Armed with spartan set-up of a guitar, microphone and his minimal backing band in front of a soldout audience, Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam ambled through his discography, on touchstones like Naked As We Came from classic album Our Endless Numbered Days, The Trapeze Swinger from Around the Well and Winter Prayers from Ghost on Ghost. It was a heartfelt experience without sacrificing any charm, personality or gestalt crowd connection.

                                                                          Howlin Rain

Under The Wheels: Live From The Coasts Vol.1

Under The Wheels Vol 1 is the first in a new series of limited edition Howlin Rain live albums, intended to be a direct exchange / conversation with fans. A no-rules, anything goes series culled from multi-track live recordings made on the road. Volume 1, Live From The Coasts, leans heavily to the bands more expansive and improvisational side and is the first of a two-part curation of the band’s personal favorites of East Coast and West Coast performances in 2018-19 (Volume 2 and second Live From The Coasts LP due out in Fall 2019.)

“My intention with the live series is to open a spigot between the fans and these captured live adventures and to leave it open as an ongoing conversation about our spiritual dance together.” - Ethan Miller.

Coloured LP Info: Indies exclusive coloured vinyl with tints across the bone and blood spectrum.

The city and the country both have distinct, vibrant energies - but there’s something happening in between, too. As factories give way to fields, and highways drift into gravelly roads, the friction can be palpable, the aura electric. The lines between city and country were on Jack Cooper’s mind when he named his new band Modern Nature. He took the phrase from the diaries of filmmaker Derek Jarman, written on the coast of Kent in his Dungeness cottage. Visiting Jarman’s home, Cooper was struck by what he calls a “weird mix of urban and rural” - such as the way a nuclear power station sits next to open grasslands.

On Modern Nature’s debut album, ‘How To Live’, urban and rural cross into each other. Plaintive cello strains melt into motorik beats. Pastoral field recordings drift through looping guitar figures. Rising melodies shine with reflective saxophone accents, placing the record somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle between the expansive motorik of Can, the Canterbury progressiveness of Caravan and the burgeoning experimentalism of Talk Talk’s ‘Colour Of Spring’.

                                                                            STAFF COMMENTS

Barry says: Having penned a succession of hazy, indie-rock affairs, Jack Cooper (formerly of Manchester's own Trof fame) breaks out a beautiful folky wanderer, heavy on reverb and drifting guitar ambience, but maintaining the melodic leaning that has earned him so many delighted fans. This is beautiful work, and possibly my favourite of his considerable output.

Live At Yubin Chokin Kaikan Hall, Tokyo On May 14, 1986

For this historical concert held at the Yubin Chokin Hall, in Tokyo on May 14, 1986, the legendary Japanese drummer Masahiko Togashi brought together an amazing line-up with such modern jazz luminaries as Steve Lacy (soprano sax), Don Cherry (pocket trumpet), and Dave Holland (bass). This particular album consists of four previously unpublished tracks (on vinyl), including some highly regarded Lacy compositions such as "The Crus" and "Quakes" and Don Cherry's African flavored anthem called "Mopti". The Lacy-Cherry frontline flies over the agile, airy rhythm section of Holland and Togashi and the interplay between the four master musicians sounds loose and relaxed. This is a must-hear for any post free jazz fan.

                                                                            The Scientists

                                                                            Not For Sale: Live 78/79

For fans of The Scientists, The Flamin’ Groovies, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, The Undertones, The Boys, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Hollywood Brats.

The Scientists’ pre-“Swampland” days in Perth are brilliantly encapsulated on this collection of mostly unreleased live material from ’78 and ‘79. These were the days when former Victims and future Hoodoo Gurus drummer James Baker led the band alongside guitarist/singer Kim Salmon, and when their poster read "Rock’n’Roll in the tradition of The Groovies and The Heartbreakers".

The Perth-based line-ups of The Scientists recorded the brilliant "Frantic Romantic" single and self-titled EP highlighted by "Last Night." They also recorded a posthumously released LP - the 'pink album' - which came as a massive disappointment due to bad production and a reduced line-up. “Not For Sale: Live’ 78/79” is a collection of live and rehearsal tracks that captures the band making the same noises as on those 45's, and presents live versions of the fan faves and vastly superior versions of most of the LP tracks as well as coughing up a bunch of hitherto unreleased originals and covers to boot. This is "The Legendary Scientists" - as they were dubbing themselves within months of forming - as they should be heard.

The main set comes from late 1979; a live-to-air broadcast from Melbourne’s 3RRR. "Frantic Romantic" was in the shops and the EP was in the can. If you only know tracks like "It’ll Never Happen Again," "That Girl. "Making a Scene" and, "She Said She Loves Me" from the limp pink album versions you’ll be knocked sideways by the raucous and rocking versions here. Covers of The New York Dolls, the Groovies ("Slow Death" and their version of "Have You Seen My Baby") and The Undertones' "Teenage Kicks" are a bit throwaway but show where their heads were at. And yes, a couple of these appeared back on the 'fan club' cassette "Rubber Never Sleeps" back in '82 and have since appeared on other collections, but those were third or fourth generation cassette dupes. What we have here is the whole set, taken directly from 3RRR's master reels.

The same line-up is also present on a handful of primitive live recordings, made by a friend at one of the group's regular haunts, the Governor Broome Hotel in ‘79. What they lack in clarity they make up by letting us hear some otherwise lost original tunes. Play this really loud and it sounds like you're right there in the pub - shitty PA and all. The original "Kinda Girl" is maybe the pick here; it's James and Kim channelling their beloved Troggs. Also included, for the first time anywhere, is a Scientists’ version of "Drop Out", a Baker/Salmon song that its writers later made famous with The Beasts of Bourbon.

                                                                              Live At The BBC

Twenty five years after the release of blur’s seminal album Parklife, Parlophone Records are releasing a 1994 BBC Radio 1 live session, available from Friday 2nd August.

Featuring 4 tracks – Girls & Boys, Jubilee, Trouble In The Message Centre, Lot 105 – taken from a Mark Radcliffe Radio 1 session, recorded live at the BBC in Manchester on 7th March 1994, just weeks ahead of Parklife’s release on 25th April.

                                                                                The Germs

Live At The Starwood Dec. 3, 1980

The Germs were a punk rock band from Los Angeles (1976–1980) consisting of singer Darby Crash, guitarist Pat Smear, bassist Lorna Doom and drummer Don Bolles (following a short stint by Donna Rhia). Crash and Smear decided to form a band after getting kicked out of high school for allegedly using “mind control” on fellow students.

Following the release of their only studio album G.I. in 1979 on Slash Records (produced by Joan Jett), the Germs recorded 6 original songs with producer Jack Nitzsche for the soundtrack to the film Cruising starring Al Pacino. Only one of the 6 tracks found its way onto the soundtrack but the others were later released on MIA: The Complete Anthology.

Live At The Starwood Dec 3, 1980 is the first worldwide release of this title on vinyl. It is pressed on 180g solid white and solid blue mixed color vinyl at Record Industry and comes in a gatefold tip-on jacket. It includes replicas of the tour poster and fanzine, originally included with the CD set.

Flyin' The Flannel / Mr. Machinery Operator / Live Totem Pole EP

American punk rock trio’s two Columbia albums from 1991 and 1993, plus 1992’s Live Totem Pole EP. fIREHOSE (as the band’s name is stylized) was formed in 1986 by Mike Watt, George Hurley and Ed Crawford, after the death of guitarist/vocalist D. Boon brought an end to Watt and Hurley’s previous band, Minutemen. The band split in 1994, but got back together in 2012 and have continued to gig on and off since then. Digitally remastered and slipcased with new notes.

                                                                                    Ramones

Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World: Live At The Old Waldorf, San Francisco

The Old Waldorf broadcast is a perfect document of the energy and ferocity of the early Ramones as a live act.

                                                                                      DMA's

                                                                                      MTV Unplugged Live

DMA’S are set to release the ‘MTV Unplugged Live’ album. It was recorded at Melbourne’s intimate Memo Music Hall last October, with DMA’s becoming one of the first Australian bands to play the iconic MTV Unplugged session. It’s a format steeped in history following classic sets from Nirvana, Oasis, R.E.M. and many more.

Renowned for their ragged, anthemic energy often inspired by the Britpop and Manchester scenes, ‘MTV Unplugged Live’ finds DMA’S stripping their songbook back to basics. Focusing on acoustic guitar, piano, violin and cello, these new arrangements unveil fresh new perspectives on the songs. Some now carry a folk vibe, while others hone in on the poignancy of the band’s lyrics.

Silent Alarm was released in 2005 to widespread critical and commercial success, achieving multi-platinum sales and earning Bloc Party a Mercury Prize nomination. The album has since been heralded as one of the most influential and important of the decade by outlets as diverse as Pitchfork, Q, Newsweek, Spin, Complex and Clash, and was named in numerous lists collating the best albums of the decade, whilst NME named it as one of the best of all time.

‘Strange Times’ was the Chameleons’ third album, originally released in 1986 on the Geffen label and praised by the critics who reviewed it. Melody Maker called it “a marvellous departure” from their previous work and “a wonderful record,” describing it as “the band’s most inventive and winning album yet and as a fine a record as any guitar band has made this year - it should delight just about anyone.”

Singer and bassist Mark Burgess later said “‘Strange Times’ is my favourite. Personally, I believe it was the best lyrical work I’d done with the band and some of the best vocal performances, and I think the Chameleons really began to mature and move forward with this album.”

Noel Gallagher was quoted recently as saying “I’d forgotten how much this album meant to me. It came out in ‘86. I was 19!! I’ve been listening to it every day since and I have to say it’s blown my mind… again! It must have influenced my early years as a song writer because I can hear ME in it everywhere!!”

The Chameleons have long been named as influences on bands such as The Flaming Lips, The Killers and Smashing Pumpkins.

This recording from Preston Guildhall was taken from their current tour, which continues across the UK and Europe throughout 2019, ending at Manchester Ritz in December, supported by The Icicle Works.

The ‘Where In The World’ EP consists of four original Chameleons songs, rerecorded in 2017. As a feature of their current live set the songs were universally well-received by the fanbase and are presented here by popular request. ‘Dali’s Picture’ a discarded song written in 1981, ‘Ever After’ an unfinished demo from the ‘Strange Times’ session that produced the bands third album and ‘Denims & Curls’ and ‘Free For All’, which were demos for a fourth album that never materialized due to the band’s disintegration. Despite the years in between, all four songs feel fresh, vibrant and contemporary.

The Chameleons (known as The Chameleons UK in North America) were an English post punk band formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester in 1981. The band originally consisted of singer and bassist Mark Burgess, guitarist Reg Smithies, guitarist Dave Fielding and drummer John Lever (replacing original drummer Brian Schofield). They released six studio albums and one EP before disbanding in 2003. They have gained even bigger audiences of late, touring as ChameleonsVox and playing out their classic albums.

                                                                                            Pow!

                                                                                            Live At Third Man Records

Fresh off releasing their fourth album on beloved independent label Castle Face, POW! performs live at Third Man Detroit with their strangely beautiful merging of synthpunk and garage from the middle of the swamp. Truly, this synthesis should not make this much sense but it does completely. Think Screamers meets The Scientists. It’s dark but uplifting; catchy without losing a hanging gloominess.

The first song Connecting is a distorted, swarming electropunk hit. Second song Switchboard Scientist buzzes and quakes into a steadily expanding, head-bobbing beat that guides us into an unfamiliar bizarro territory.

Neil Young releases TUSCALOOSA, from his ongoing live archival series. The previously unreleased, 11-track recording features Neil Young with The Stray Gators recorded live at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa on February 5th,1973.

During 1971 – 1973, between solo shows and dates with Crazy Horse, Young would switch up his sound to suit the material he would focus on when touring with The Stray Gators. Comprised of Tim Drummond (bass), Kenny Buttrey (drums), Jack Nitzsche (piano) and Ben Keith (steel guitar) this lineup, most notably, would go onto record Harvest and Times Fades Away. Tuscaloosa features live versions of songs from Young’s self-titled 1969 debut (“Here We Are In The Years”) plus classic songs from his two most commercially successful album of his early career, After The Goldrush (1970) and Harvest (1972).

The album also contains a stunning version of the title track from the live album Time Fades Away that would not surface until later in 1973, as well as songs from the seminal classic Tonight’s The Night that would eventually be released in 1975.

As an ongoing archival of Young's legendary live show, Tuscaloosa displays a man at the peak of his powers, wowing an appreciative audience. What's not to love?

                                                                                              Bob Dylan

The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1975 Live Recordings

A comprehensive anthology of music from the mythic first leg of Bob Dylan's groundbreaking Rolling Thunder Revue, this 14CD box set includes all five of Dylan’s full sets from that tour that were professionally recorded. The collection also provides the listener with an intimate insider's seat for recently unearthed rehearsals at New York's S.I.R. studios and the Seacrest Motel in Falmouth, MA plus a bonus disc showcasing one-of-a-kind performances from the tour.

The collection features 148 tracks in all, with more than 100 of those never previously released. Included in the box set is a 52-page booklet featuring rare and never-before-seen Rolling Thunder Revue photos and a revelatory essay by novelist/musician Wesley Stace. Concurrent with the release of the 14CD box set will be a reissue of The Bootleg Series Volume 5 on vinyl, back in print for the first time since 2002 as a 3LP set with a 64-page booklet.

Launched in the fall of 1975, Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue flaunted the touring conventions of the time by featuring an eclectic cast of characters and playing small and unusual venues with little advance notice. The shows would often stretch to more than four hours long, generating some of the artist's most dramatic and dynamic on-stage performances ever. Dylan debuted the new songs he'd written for his forthcoming Desire album (which became one of the most acclaimed and popular in his canon) with a fire and intensity that Dylan had reached ten years earlier with his incendiary tours with musicians who became The Band. He also took wild, interpretative rides through his back catalog and broke-out some unexpected covers.

Dylan gathered amazing friends and collaborators for his ensemble – dubbed Guam for the tour – that included T Bone Burnett, Mick Ronson, Joan Baez, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Bobby Neuwirth, Scarlett Rivera, Ronee Blakly, Steven Soles, David Mansfield, Rob Stoner, Howie Wyeth and Luther Rix. Poet Allen Ginsberg and Joni Mitchell also brought their talents to the show’s encores. Dylan, the consummate band leader, managed to take these musicians from various backgrounds and sensibilities and mold them into a tight musical unit on stage.

Full of unreleased gems, official soundboard recordings and previously unearthed live-only experiences, this is an essential purchase for any and all fans of Bobby D.

The Midnight Hour is Black excellence: an ode to the cultural sophistication that the Harlem Renaissance established for its people. The Midnight Hour is comprised of Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge, alongside a tight rhythm section and a full orchestra. Last June, 2018, The Midnight Hour debuted their self-titled album to great reviews and toured the US extensively. “It was during that tour last year that we decided to record a live album, capturing this new experience. The music you hear in our studio album is how we mean it to sound. But it’s something totally different when we have an audience in front of us.

This recording is us wanting to give people a chance to hear what they can expect when they see us live.” On February 22nd, 2019, The Midnight Hour performed in front of a live studio audience at Linear Labs. This was a direct-to-analog tape recording that 200 very lucky fans were a part of. Adrian and Ali began working on the debut Midnight Hour album in 2013, but put the project aside as they would score the hit Netflix series Marvel’s Luke Cage. The Midnight Hour is a soul/jazz/hip hop album which continues the conversations started by yesterday’s jazz and funk pioneers; those that created the bedrock of samples for hip hop producers in the 80s/90s. The Midnight Hour is sophisticated hip hop that fans will enjoy, capturing their jazz rhythm section, and a full orchestra reminiscent of the maestros such as David Axelrod and Quincy Jones.

Welcome to Mold. Damp corners of a lonely room, kept barely heated by an oil stove, trap themselves in snares of darkness. The crushing of packed snow beneath chained tires, as a truck slowly crawls its way down a buried road. Down, down, down; there is nothing but the momentary glint of pitiless forms as the headlights pass by.

Recorded live on New Year's day in Yellowknife, this serves as official documentation of the sole performance of Funky Doodle. For those who remember it, now it remains.

Funky Doodle is comprised of James K, Draveng, and Dj Richard.

All tracks are taken from this live performance.

Columbus, Ohio was a test market for cable and public access cable television in 1980. One time our band was playing an outdoor concert in a downtown park and I saw television cameras pointed in our direction. I couldn't resist talking to the people handling the cameras and was introduced to the man in charge of All-American Cablevision, Craig Schneider. He invited the band to do a concert in their TV studio.

By the time that actually happened, Randy Mather had gone on the road with Woody Herman. I'm pretty sure he recommended Paul Maslin to take his place. Paul learned our whole book in two weeks. I thought that was incredible!

When we got to the studio the day of the taping, one of the band members told me Jeanette Williams wouldn't be with us on the show. She already had an obligation for that day. We played the entire show live with no stopping and no retakes. For public access shows they didn't want to have to stop and start taping if they could avoid it.

They kept the master tapes for only two or three weeks at most for a quick rerun. Then they would reuse the master tape for another show unless you bought the master. By the time I learned this it was already too late to buy the master they'd made of our outdoor show.

As the studio was looking for volunteers I soon found myself behind the camera, then directing shows. I even wrote and directed three episodes of a comedy show I called Looney.

Little did I know Seeds of Fulfillment was in its last days. When it ended, Paul said he knew some musicians in the Chicago area, and asked if I would like to go along. I said yes. It was 1982.

“Well, this is the largest amount of people we’ve ever had in a room to watch us, so it feels pretty damn special,” Marlon Williams says, sitting down to the piano during the first night of two sold-out shows at the historic Auckland Town Hall. May 25th, 2018 was special in many respects. Williams had returned home to New Zealand to close a 60-date world tour for his new album, Make Way For Love. He shared the stage with his second family, The Yarra Benders, with the two evenings at Auckland Town Hall serving as a fitting cap after having toured the globe together over the course of two album campaigns.

Across the past several years on the road, the Marlon Williams live show has taken on an almost mystical status — not just for Williams’ extraordinary voice, but also for the hypnotic command he has over an audience, his seamless blending of genres, and the effortless, instinctive relationship he shares with his band. Live at Auckland Town Hall showcases Williams at his finest, performing a set that includes songs from his acclaimed self-titled debut album, as well as 2018’s Make Way For Love, and standalone single, “Vampire Again.” The live album also includes previously unreleased covers of Barry Gibb, Yoko Ono, the late Lhasa De Sela, and a Williams live favorite, “Portrait of a Man” by Screaming Jay Hawkins.

Live at Auckland Town Hall captures an artist both early enough in his career to be humbled by the occasion, and developed enough to present a stunning catalogue of music and quality of performance. As Williams’ first official live release, Live at Auckland Town Hall feels sure to enter the canon of great live albums in the years to come, a dazzling snapshot of Marlon Williams’ musical singularity.

The bands specially re-arranged set captivated the capacity crowd and reinforced their standing as one of the most diverse and brilliant new acts in the U.K.

“Here we have the final entry into our Live In San Francisco series: an intimate evening with Alex [Cameron] and his indispensable sax man, Roy Molloy (beard in briefcase) performing at the Swedish American Hall in San Francisco, a very classy and lovingly maintained venue originally built in 1907 on Market Street, just a pube or two into the Castro District. “I was first introduced to Alex Cameron by Adam Beris, a real swell fellow who’s been drawing Castle Faces for us for years. He asked if I had heard of this “Suicide meets sad Springsteen” act and showed me the mysterious Geocities-style website (complete with shady porn ads). I was immediately hooked on the skeletal throb, the stark portraits of hard luck losers, the ego-maniacal squares, and the swagger on this prosthetically wrinkled Australian song and dance man. On a paid website, as he reminds us. Both sharp-witted and steeped in thespian courage, this is exactly what the world needed in this hungry, hungry time we live in. We got in touch, things led to other things, and when Alex was opening for Oh Sees at the Chapel in San Francisco we hatched a plan to make a live record, over white wine spritzers (as all the best deals are inked). “Al and Roy are the real deal, folks…and this wasn’t to be just any old show. I was determined to do something a little special, and I got the idea from working on John’s book of poster art (Exploded Globes) to bill it as a semi-formal, encourage people to ‘get dressed up and messed up’ as John puts it, and do it in a classy sort of hall, make it muy romantico. We got flowers from the Mission De Flores (who have sadly joined the ghost ranks of SF small businesses past), one of which made it to the cover, the champagne and fine wines flowed, and I like to think we helped San Francisco get a little luckier that night. There’s flower petals all over the mix here; Roy’s sax slinks sultrily, Al is in fine form, adding the occasional barb on the stem, sounding well oiled and comfortably bantering between tunes, and Justin Nijssen hangs back and window-dresses the whole thing with some well placed guitar and a few backups. These are professionals, need I remind you, hard workin’ road dogs with deep thoughts that inspire deep respect, and they put some dancing sweat on all the hits from Jumping The Shark as well as “Candy May” from Forced Witness, which at the time wasn’t yet out. We couldn’t be prouder of our final Live In SF disc, and it’s out on Castle Face Records in partnership with Secretly Canadian.” – Matt Jones.

Cardinal Fuzz are proud to present to you Birth – Live In Tucson. Birth is the project of Grant Beyachau and Nik Rayne from The Myrrors who performed as Birth for this live improvisational performance in Tucson (USA). The performance was captured onto a handheld recorder (you can hear instrument leads buzz and cut out for a second here and there as things start up) as Birth, seated on the floor, journey towards a state of transcendence in front of a small but appreciative audience.

Taking cues from Terry Riley, LaMonte Young as well as Spacemen 3 (Dreamweapon) – minimalist artists who offer no concessions to the listener except to surrender yourself to the drone. Grant creates swirling cyclic passages via analogue synthesizer and tape machine loops as Nik conjures subliminal notes via guitar and space echo. Over 25 minutes they create an experience of devotional music influenced by Middle Eastern and Sufism cultures – as notes bleed and swirl together in a lysergic haze. Its fluidity is its greatest strength as the piece offers no navigation points – all they ask is that through a mixture of drone, repetition and simple melodies that you surrender yourself to the trance-like and hallucinatory delirium created. It is captivating.

                                                                                                                    Live EP

Off the back of their 2018 acclaimed album ‘Year Zero’ and with a relentless touring schedule lined up for the Spring, The Spitfires are about to blend the explosive ruckus that is their live show, with their undeniably authentic rock and roll records. The Watford-based band have plucked 5 tracks from last year’s Hamburg gig to create their first release of 2019, a Live EP.

Renowned for their explosive live performances, The Spitfires have captured the ears and hearts of fans on a global scale. Their unique connection has resulted in unconditional loyalty across the UK and Europe, with shows selling out on a regular basis. The raw and downright relatable lyrics delivered by frontman, guitarist and songwriter Billy Sullivan strike a chord with many, and with the backing of Sam Long’s growling basslines, Matt Johnson’s foundation-laying drumming and keyboards and horns from George Moorhouse and Alistair Welsh respectively, it’s easy to hear why they have been deemed one of the most unstoppable rising forces in British music. On recording the EP, Billy added:

'We were really taken back by the response of the German crowds from the very first show in Hamburg back in 2015 and it’s great to see it grow as time goes on. We've always wanted to release some live recordings to capture the true sound of the band - no overdubs, no studio magic. You really do play off the crowd response so to record the show in Hamburg in 2018 was a no brainer!'

Blending everything from gnarly punk-driven controlled chaos to rock-steady breaks and ska-heavy goodness, the sound of The Spitfires is only identifiable to them and has resulted in a #1 album in the UK Independent Chart, a performance on BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show and countless tour dates across the world. Now they are offering an unmissable collectable, a double 7” vinyl recording of what they do best – playing live in front of packed venue of their beloved fans – who’s in?

                                                                                                                      Deforming Lobes - Live

In 2018, Ty Segall’s Freedom’s Goblin hit with a watershed feeling. A feeling like, how much longer will rock albums like this even exist? An epic epoch double-LP that took the heroic arc of Ty’s populist masterpiece Manipulator and wadded it up into a much more aerodynamic (and harder-hitting) ball (or 20-sided D&D die), FG was also the continued work of the Freedom Band, Ty’s crew of choice since 2016. Storming the world playing songs from throughout his catalog in a series of ecstatic setlists, they sought freedom for themselves and the audience, even it if was just one night of emancipation from world’s numbing chill. Then they went and did it again the next night!

An all analog production, recorded live on stage at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles by Steve Albini (via mobile unit onto two-inch tape!) and mixed with Steve in Chicago at Electrical Audio, Deforming Lobes witnesses the blunt-force traumpact of The Freedom Band in full effect, updating (and upending) numbers from Melted, Emotional Mugger, Twins, Manipulator, $ingle$ 2 and Self-Titled. From the start, the “Warm Hands” suite shows the growth of the group since recording the original version for the 2017 Self-Titled album—the jam has a new life all its own, and the band explores every song with similar unrestrained curiosity, never forgetting the collective experience they’re sharing. The feeling between audience and band at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom on those January nights was its own special thing; here, the band is somehow even more front and center, making Deforming Lobes the first wholly original statement from The Freedom Band and bookending the Goblin experience with a fuck of an exclamation point.

A year-plus later, another rock album exists—but what’s to be done with the guitar? These guys did everything they could get away with to a certain degree of (well-focused) depravity. Maybe now it’s time for a transition, away from live band rawk into whatever, who knows? But before you grieve your speculative future loss too hard, you really oughta get Deforming Lobes.

                                                                                                                      STAFF COMMENTS

Barry says: By all accounts, Ty Segall are one of the most dominant forces in live music around today, and this perfectly captures the energy and visceral heft of this momentous experience. Grooves are stretched out and worked around, turning a simple riff into a multi-layered tapestry, rich with distortion and so huge you can almost feel the sweat dripping off the stage.

Live in London was taped before a live audience at the Eventim Apollo and featured the Conchords performing songs from the sold-out UK and Ireland edition of “Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour.”

Other Aspects, Live At The Royal Festival Hall

In October 2018, Paul Weller performed two extraordinary concerts at The Royal Festival Hall with an orchestra. The second of these shows was recorded and filmed, and now sees the light of day as a superb live album and DVD.

“Other Aspects, Live At The Royal Festival Hall” features an eclectic 25 track career-spanning set, including classics from Paul’s rich back catalogue and songs from last year’s no. 2 album, the gorgeous “True Meanings”

The track-listing includes a radical re-working of The Jam’s “Private Hell” from their 1979 LP “Setting Sons” and a brilliantly realised version of “Boy About Town”. The Style Council get a welcome look-in too with “Have You Ever Had It Blue” and “A Man Of Great Promise” and Paul’s subsequent solo career is well represented with the inclusion of “Wild Wood” and “You Do Something To Me” amongst others

Other firm solo favourites such as “You Do Something To Me” and “Long Long Road” fit seamlessly into the set

The DVD includes audio mixed in PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 surround sound and features a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary with rehearsal footage and interviews

                                                                                                                            • On LP officially for the first time.

                                                                                                                            • Liners include an interview with bassist, John Lightman.

Big Star recorded their second album, Radio City, as a trio, after the departure of founding member Chris Bell. When it came time to tour, original bassist Andy Hummel decided to return to school to pursue his engineering education. With this departure, Alex Chilton and Jody Stephens recruited fellow Memphis native John Lightman to take over on bass duties, and the band readied their live set. That set is on display as Big Star recorded a radio session at Ultrasonic Studios in New York for broadcast on the city’s preeminent WLIR. Nearly two decades later, those recordings were issued as Live in 1992. Omnivore Recordings is proud to reintroduce those recordings, restored and remastered from the original tapes, as Live On WLIR, on CD—and, its first official release on LP.

The 15 track set features material from the band’s two releases, as well as a cover of “Motel Blues” by Loudon Wainwright III (which originally appeared on his classic 1971 sophomore release, Album II). With new, updated liner notes from Memphis writer/filmmaker, Robert Gordon (who won a Grammy® for his essay in 2010’s Big Star boxed set Keep An Eye On The Sky) and an interview with John Lightman by Chris Bell biographer Rich Tupica (There Was A Light: The Cosmic History Of Big Star Founder Chris Bell), Live On WLIR enters the Big Star canon in the form it deserves. Because, you know, you get what you deserve.

                                                                                                                            The Fall

                                                                                                                            Room To Live

On Room To Live, The Fall take the hurried, all-or-nothing approach of their preceding Kamera Records releases to extreme ends. Forged via Mark E. Smith's continual disassembling of players and focus on previously unrehearsed material, the album collects The Fall's most experimental and improvisational recordings. As proclaimed on the album cover, "Undilutable Slang Truth!" would be revealed throughout Room To Live.

With the album's comparatively lo-fi production and always-teetering performances, the title track comes closest to a stab at pop (by The Fall's standards), built on fantastically bent saloon swaying under one of Smith's by-now characteristic dressing-downs of square life. "Detective Instinct" is an unshakeable creeper, as languid and ominous as the band would get during the Marc Riley years. "Marquis Cha Cha" is a post-punk rhumba, beginning with fury and then easing into something only The Fall could conjure.

                                                                                                                              The Cramps

Live At Keystone, Palo Alto, California, February 1st, 1979

Sacramento’s own, The Cramps, performing live at the legendary punk club Keystone in Palo Alto, a year prior to the release of their debut album, are in top form. Ripping through tracks from that debut, as well as early singles and the classic 1978 EP, Gravest Hits, this is an epic set from the punk group that literally invented the genre of “psychobilly”. Intense, rocking, and glorious, The Cramps were one of the greatest live bands of their era and this set does not disappoint.

'DJ Shadow has shared details for his anticipated live album and film, Live In Manchester: The Mountain Has Fallen Tour. Recorded at a sold out Albert Hall in Manchester, England, the release (out 13th July on Mass Appeal Records) is now on vinyl, CD, and digitally.

                                                                                                                                  Bill Callahan

                                                                                                                                  Live At Third Man Records

Bill Callahan, fka Smog, is simultaneously a staple of strange American country, lo-fi, folk and independent music. His lyricism comes across as challenging and deeply autobiographical, equal parts "poetry leaning on true-to-life darkness" and "three chords and the truth."

So, it is fitting that Callahan’s live set would command the same sense of friendliness-with-difficulty that the recorded songs do. With brief, candid, and charming interludes between older and newer material, an outsider can hear that this performance was obviously a full-bodied (and multi-era) engagement, no space left for distraction.

The full album is an experience; make it one you look after.

Ian F. Svenonius and the philosopher of fuzz, black-jacket beat-bopper, bandstand bolshevik, single note savant, tear-stained tape deck, last refuge of ineptitude, sin is in group ESCAPE-ISM stopped by our Detroit location one afternoon last spring and recorded this pan-sonic polymorphously perverse plastic platter live on the Blue Stage.

Released only in Japan in 1997, this collection of live and demo tracks—available for the first time on vinyl—is a must for Rage Against The Machine fans! Includes fiery versions of “Take The Power Back” and “Bombtrack,” covers of N.W.A.’s “Fuck Tha Police” and Public Enemy’s “Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos” (with Chuck D on lead vocals) and tracks from the band’s original 1991 demo tape.

Kate Stables has been recording and releasing music as This Is The Kit since 2005. In May of 2018, Kate and her band took some time off from their busy tour schedule supporting The National and treated us to a very intimate and special performance. Stables' uniquely-textured voice possesses a tone that quietly reels you in, and -- following the tradition of exquisitely strange troubadours like Karen Dalton, Will Oldham, or Robert Wyatt -- is simply arresting.

Ukerewe is the largest inland island in Africa and can only be reached by an overpacked four-hour ferry ride on Lake Victoria. It is a place so remote that historically people often traveled there to abandon their albino children, based on the regional belief that they are in some way “demonic.”

Eighteen members of the Standing Voice community volunteered for their first ever songwriting workshop, ranging in age from 24 to 57. But even among the willing, singing-out proved difficult, considering the group routinely avoided eye contact, rarely spoke above a whisper, and were unaccustomed to dancing.

Produced by Grammy-winner Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Zomba Prison Project, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott), the Tanzania Albinism Collective actively pushes the boundaries of what is considered Eastern African and “world music,” while continuing to attract greater awareness and confront the dangers that the collective face daily due to prejudice and persecution at home.

The UT reissue campaign began on November 17, 2017 with the release of the UT EP and the Confidential 12", on Vinyl and CD. Upcoming reissues in 2019 include their studio albums Conviction, In Gut’s House and Griller. Remastered at Wolf Studios by Dominique Brethes, vinyl cut by Noel Summerville. The live tracks jump out of the vinyl with some verve, as visceral now as they were Live back in the 80s. This is searing no-wave power in the live setting, originally released in 1987 by BLAST FIRST records.

OCS played four shows in California last December, raising funds for charity, and also enabling OCS to play out the tracks from the (then) recently released album "Memory of a Cut off head". Bandleader John Dwyer assembled his ensemble for these shows with players from the album and current Oh Sees members also, including Brigid Dawson, Emily Elkin, Eric Clark, Heather Lockie, Heidi Maureen Alexander, Paul Quattrone, Tim Hellman, and Tomas Dolas.

The shows sold out in a trice, and thankfully one of the San Francisco shows were recorded by Eric Bauer, Dwyer mixed the record and it was passed onto old friends the Austrian Label ROCK IS HELL (Oh Sees fans will note early releases by Thee Oh Sees appeared on Rock is Hell a whiles back).

Initially released (and long sold out) as a silk screened 4 LP set with some incredible artworks by Elzo Durt (he did the art for the Carrion Crawler / The Dream EP ).. Dwyer /Rock is Hell decided to make a more widely available 2LP version.

"Take It Back" is moving, propulsive indie pop at its finest, somehow better with the strong conviction of their message captured live.

"Overnight" starts out as a threadbare folk rock tune and compounds and builds up until, finally, the smoke clears again right before the finale, creating an impactful air around the last words sung.

We, of course, had our 1955 Scully Lathe warmed at the ready to capture the occasion.

As is typical for direct-to-acetate recordings in the Blue Room, Josh warmed up the room (and our engineers) with two songs before we started cutting the LP. He began with the debut performance of his newly penned “Mr. Tillman” (foreshadowing its release as the first single on God’s Favorite Customer 9 months later). We then used the second song as an opportunity to carve a 12” on-the-spot single of “Now I'm Learning to Love the War,” which was promptly handed it to a lucky attendee for safe keeping. If you want to know more about that, you’ll have to scour the depths of FJM’s fan net.

Newquay born and Cardiff based Danielle's goal for 'Live Forever' was clear. She wanted to create music that was honest and authentic, and yet she didn't want to be an artist who was afraid to explore and innovate. Danielle's vocals hauntingly float around as though free from the confines of vocal range and breath control, traversing phrases with a delicacy rarely found in singers who possess vocal power as strong as she does. Super Furry Animals' Cian Ciaran is currently producing a remix of Danielle's title track 'Live Forever', and the amalgamation of Cian's psychedelic rock vibe and Danielle's make for an extremely exciting collaboration..

Jason Williamson, a former chicken factory worker and father of two, his band mate, beatmaker Andrew Fearn, and their manager Steve Underwood, avant-garde bedroom label owner and former bus driver, have won over fans with their brutally honest lyrics and DIY ethos.

Following them on their two-year journey from Sherwood to chart success, award-winning music documentary Bunch of Kunst tells the story of three guys taking on the music business on their own terms.

Del the Funky Homosapien and Amp Live – two of the most innovative and respected names in hip-hop – have just united for one of the most anticipated albums of the year, "Gate 13". The 16 tracks on Gate 13 mix hip-hop, funk, and electronica, and feature Goapele, Eligh, Simi, Zyme, Adult Karate, Mr. Micro, and James Melo, creating a 'portal into something progressive, futuristic, and fun.' After working together during Amp’s Radiohead remix project, these back-when friends from Oakland embark on 15 tracks filling an electronic melting pot, with guests including Goapele and Eligh.

Both have long bonded over equipment, technique and advancing the sound and style of the tight-knit Bay Area music community. Surging the dancefloor’s power source on opening single ‘Wheel of Fortune’, Del’s signature flow that has taken him from the tongue-twists of ‘Mistadobolina’ to the science fact of Deltron 3030 and the sunshine-in-a-bag of Gorillaz, squares up to Amp Live’s full-bodied basics.

“I’m trying to be more concise with my writing and my art in general” says Del, in tune to funk looking to stand for parliament. “Del has been talking about doing more straightforward, aggressive writing”, confirms Amp. “Everything that I was messing with kind of had that same theme”. On tracks such as ‘Wheel of Fortune’, ‘On the Ball’ and ‘Get Some of Dis’, ‘Gate 13’ brings the noise to scare the mumblers away. ‘Humble Pie’ goes back to the future to put a bully in his place, and ‘Chili Sauce’ and ‘Sit Ya Ass Down’ take control of synth boogie getting the club and daytime airwaves buffed up. Easily commuting to a nearby parallel universe (the Deltron-centric ‘The Glow’ and ‘Help’) with star-dusted synths, disco residue, space symphonies and the odd zany skit, ‘Gate 13’ has got it locked with the master key.

This one, recorded by dutch “hippie” radio station ‘VPRO’ on 6th May 1971 is the earliest known live recording so far discovered of Michael Chapman after he started releasing records on the legendary UK based Harvest / EMI record label in 1969. This period is for Chapman fans the classic period, that more recently has drawn belated media coverage and recognition in response to the more recent kudos bestowed upon Michael from the likes of Thurston Moore, Kurt Vile, Jim O’rouke and the late, great, Jack Rose. A beautiful clear, warm and intimate recording of Chapman duetting with long time collaborator Rick Kemp on electric bass and which documents material from all three albums in a free flowing improv inflected style very much in favour at the time. it is with this free flowing vibe in mind that we include with both CD & vinyl editions the complete 90 minute concert via a download code card so listeners can experience the whole set. Chapman sounds in a confident, gentle and relaxed mood. The Audience Is Initially Tentative, Possibly Unfamilar With chapman’s work but gradually warming to his complex dexterous ‘not folk’ playing. The recordings make for a fascinating snapshot of the time, with a loose and open approach that offers a rare chance for guitar buffs to evesdrop between songs on some those bespoke Chapman guitar tunings!. The set begins with another very rare Chapman item – a cover version - in this case of Tim Hardin’s 1965 “A Reason To Believe’. A song which had just reappeared that year as the A side of a Rod Stewart solo single (The B side being ‘Maggie May’!).

Joined by guest percussionist Samuli Kosminen, mum founders Gunnar Tynes & Irvar Smorason create stunning instrumental soundscapes to accompany and enhance the late-1920s action portrayed in the film, which was already considered a milestone shortly after its release. Absorbingly rich in scope and cinematic in their own right, the four tracks that comprise this (significantly shorter) release work just as well without their visual counterpart.

The sounds are darkly romantic and rife with an angst that can be traced back the post-punk caterwaul of Bauhaus and The Birthday Party. These songs, with heavy-breathed conflict and desperation fully intact, will be the first live document of Marching Church’s full-audience command of attention.

Since then, the project has twisted, turned and head-tripped nominally, to its current moniker, and sonically, from Velvets-infl uenced jams into an amalgam of truly exploratory punk, no wave, electronic and psychedelic rock music.

This live 7” will be their first music since their 2013 single, a 7” split released by Memphis big wigs Goner Records. The tracks featured are “The Painter” and “Falling”, both previously unreleased! A highlight is during the A-side, whose repetitive mantra “I am the painter, not the paint”, channels a damaged, American Mark E. Smith, defi nitely for fans of his work. The B-sde showcases what could be an outtake from Alex Chilton’s addled masterpiece “Like Flies on Sherbet”, a barroom song if there ever was one.

Hot on the heels of a groovy and unglued no-wave full-length on well-lauded Mexican Summer, Pill rolled into the illustrious Blue Room in Nashville, TN to play a show and use a couple recorded tracks for a live 7". In fact, sax player Ben Jaffe was celebrating his birthday that night, and, fueled by Third Man hospitality and tequila, he played some of the most out there horn the band had seen in their time together. These recordings fully capture that energy.

The A-side “Afraid of the Mirror" you’ve gotta hear to believe. While the eponymous mantra drills into your head, the equally churning upfront bass line is sewn into an expert-level percussive fracas. Not for beginners. “T.V. Wedding” is an downhill, apocalyptic kraut jam driven forward by pulsating saxophone improvisation taking lead all over the track.

Ó (formerly Eskimeaux) is the recording project of songwriter and producer Gabrielle Smith. In it’s earliest days, the project was markedly experimental, the work of an artist with a knack for ambience and a fascination with sound. The next wave of material, most of what landed on 2011’s Two Mountains, didn’t quite read as a solo project anymore and represented a shift toward traditional song structures, albeit still happily atmospheric, nature-centered musings on how to find one’s place in the world.

Their live 7” features two intimate yet momentous songs, “Alone at the Party” and “Broken Necks”, both from 2015’s O.K., the bedroom pop tour de force released on Double Double Whammy Records. “Broken Necks” is notably arresting as the fi rst 40 seconds is a fi nger-picked invitation to the audience to join in singing the chorus, only to explode into full band ferocity with Smith’s saccharine, solid vocals uniting naturally with her backing band, Oliver Kalb (synthesizer), Felix Walworth (drums), and Jack Greenleaf (bass).

                                                                                                                                                                        Pile

                                                                                                                                                                        Live At Third Man Records

Prominent members of the Boston music scene and post-rock specialists, Pile began as the brainchild (and solo project) of Rick Maguire in 2007. In the earliest incarnations, the songs were the broken bones of bigger ideas: the impassioned, ramshackle work of one dude with a momentous sense of riff and mood. In the time between then and now, the band has enjoyed a steady output and expanded to include Kris Kuss, Matt Connery, Matt Becker and, from time to time, Chappy Hull.

This spring, their new critically-acclaimed LP A Hairshirt of Purpose was given a rare 10/10 by The AV Club, citing the record is “still pushing the (rock music) form to its outermost limits," and fortunately, our live LP was recorded right after its release, capturing them at a distinctly creative peak and unparalleled energy. This record is somehow chilling and explosive - kicking off with their total jam “Baby Boy” and including a surprise Blonde Redhead cover. It stands shoulder to shoulder with the rest of their catalog and will no doubt remain a shining example of our live series for years to come.

Complex and ever-changing melodies interwoven with gloomy introspective glimmers and scathing vocal outbursts.

Portico Quartet bring their powerful live performance to record. Drawing on the inspiration of electronica, ambient, classical and dance music, they take their strange, beautiful, cinematic, future music to exciting new vistas. Live/Remix is a double album offering a unique insight into two distinct parts of the band's personality. Live catches the band on tour in 2012 and features tracks from last year's eponymous album, Portico Quartet, as well as new arrangements of old favourites 'Clipper' and 'Dawn Patrol'. The hard won collective empathy that is at the heart of their sound remains the primary touchstone as Portico Quartet take the listener on a journey into the heart of their inimitable electro-acoustic-ambient music. Delivered with a powerful punch, the album adds that extra drive and energy honed over years of live performance, and many pieces appear in dynamic new arrangements. East London based Swedish singer Cornelia joins for a truly epic version of their track 'Steepless'. Remix, curated by Portico Quartet, features mixes of their music by some of the band's favourite producers and DJs. Will Ward (1/3 of electronica outfit Circle Traps and a producer in his own right) keeps the ambience of 'Window Seat' but morphs it into a slow techno burner. SBTRKT, who did a mix for PQ back in 2010 - just before he went on to enjoy global success - gives a UK garage swagger to Line from the band's previous album Isla. Luke Abbott, well known for his use of analogue synthesisers, sticks almost entirely to the original recorded parts contorting 'Rubidium' into a fresh kaleidoscopic groove. Scratcha DVA, perhaps best known for hosting Rinse FM's grimy breakfast, but also a prolific DJ and producer in his own right, drags 'Laker Boo' into a darker, bassy more urban place that suits the tune's hypnotic vibe. LV take 'City Of Glass' to the dance floor. The sax has been twisted into new hooks and melodies and set against the drums, giving the tune some serious welly. Last summer the band ran a remix competition on Soundcloud for the track 'Steepless', and Capac came out on top from over 300 entries, sitting the vocal against a beautiful field recording, giving it an extra layer of intimacy and subtlety. Konx-om-Pax is a phrase purportedly used in the Eleusinian Mysteries and used by Aleister Crowley for his Essays on Light published in 1907. It seems fitting then that the producer should remix '4096 colours', a piece in which a recording made in front of Gerhard Richter's famous stain glass window was used as the backdrop and inspiration for one of Portico Quartet's most evocative tracks. Berlin is one of the band's favourite cities and Luca Lozano fronts the highly respected Berlin label Klasse records and is a regular DJ at Berghain. His take on 'Laker Boo' comes straight from the Berlin dance floor. Finally the album closes with the band's own enigmatic low key synth based remix of 'Steepless'.

Early 2017 Newcastle quintet Lanterns On The Lake played a very special homecoming show with the Royal Northern Sinfonia.

The 40 piece ensemble, guided by the arrangements of composer Fiona Brice, add a wealth of texture to a band already very familiar with expansive and beautiful sounds. The outcome is a sublime 10

This recording comes direct from the board during his performance on French television in 2015 and harnesses the maniacal energy of his live set in perfect form. What may be the Chicago born artist's darkest and most plodding recording to date, this is the definintion of deconstructed death-industrial, forward thinking and freeform yet totally focused and razor sharp, plodding drums over open wire electronics and zodiac killer vocals hitting you from all angles. This is sound of evil personified. Limited copies available worldwide. Necessary evils for yer bag, grab it while its hot.

Drinking from the same PCP-laced broth as The Trash Company and much of the Dark Entries camp, with a bit of Ron Hardy's sherm thrown into the pot for good measure. Warning! - will fuck you up!
