Dogwood Tales

Every Star In Rockingham County

Though heavy and personal in its lyrical content, the album was born out of a spirit of naivety and experimentation that breathes lightness and excitement into the music. Pedal steel chords and delicate harmonization between Ryan and Grim — who’ve at this point been singing together half their lives — accompany jamming power pop drum lines by Golibart, tasteful guitar licks, and wistful video game soundbites.

Whether it’s song titles like 'Princess Peach' and the football games and Coca-Colas of 'McMemories' Dogwood Tales speaks in a vocabulary previously unexplored in earlier works, unafraid of showing as much reverence for iconic fast food and video game characters as they do their grandmothers and local basketball legends.

Or the achingly specific lyrics in 'Angel Dreams', “We drove to Southern Kitchen, you wouldn’t even play my favorite song. You cried in your fried chicken, the waitress thought I said something wrong,” it’s easy to feel like you’re sitting on a couch in the band’s attic; sharing stories, ambient Gamecube on in the background. The humming electric guitars over beds of pedal steel and earnest lyricism find ESiRC in dialogue with indie rock’s current Lo-Fi country romanticism, lyrically pays homage to revered American songwriters in the footsteps of Townes Van Zandt, but ultimately takes listeners on a ride through uncharted territory.

It’s a ride through Rockingham County, through the moody valley, the tight bond of four friends coming of age in a rural Virginia town, and a digital age where loneliness is far too prevalent. Thankfully, we’ve got the stars to keep us company.

Anthony Green

Reconcile At The Tile Works, Recorded Live

Recorded in an intimate hometown setting in Doylestown PA, ‘Reconcile At The Tile Works, Recorded Live’ captures Anthony Green in a rare, up-close performance that leans into the emotional core of his songwriting. With minimal, stripped-back arrangements, the focus stays on the songs themselves—highlighting the immediacy of Green’s voice and the connection he’s built with listeners over the years. The setlist draws from across his catalog, blending fan-favorite material from Circa Survive with selections from his solo work, alongside previously unreleased songs. These versions feel raw and present, giving familiar tracks a different kind of weight while introducing new material in its earliest form.

Tim Kasher's Home Phone

Sponges Of Experience

"This album was written over the 4-day weekend of Memorial Day, 2025. It was a challenge to myself: when I was a wee teenager I heard Elvis Costello mention on some talk show (I’ve long forgotten which) that he could write an album over a weekend. It was on off-hand remark, a throw away line as he was promoting something or other. A budding songwriter myself, I was curious if I could pull off something of the sort. Fast forward to 35 odd years later, I decided to give it a shot. I offered myself FOUR days rather than just the two, and perhaps that’s a cheat, but since it was Memorial Day weekend I decided to allow it. As it turned out, I absolutely needed those extra two days. The other rules were simple: I just needed to write a complete composition and completed lyrics for enough songs to fill an album. At least… eight songs, though I would’ve been disappointed with just eight. I kept pushing myself to write as much as possible, as I wanted to have enough songs to be able to weed out one or two of the crappier contributions. All of the additional arrangements you hear were written and recorded after the fact, casually over the remaining year, no rush nor rules on those parameters."

GOON

Death Spells / Artium

"The track ‘Atrium’ was born during the 'Dream 3' sessions, on a day where it was just Claire and I in the studio. It wasn’t rehearsed at all before we started recording it. All I really had was the main guitar riff in drop D, inspired by the Rob Crow stylings of 'Heavy Vegetable' and 'Thingy'. The lyrics came quickly and received almost no editing. They circled around feelings of resentment, heartbreak and the idea that a sturdy love for oneself is necessary before you can truly love others." - Goon

This release includes 2 B Sides from GOON’s critically acclaimed 'Dream 3' LP available on 7” vinyl for the first time.
