'All Things Must Pass' was released by Apple Records in November 1970. Co-produced by Harrison and Phil Spector, many musicians contributed to the album, including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Pete Drake, Gary Wright, Klaus Voormann, members of Badfinger, players from Delaney and Bonnie band, and John Barham. The album topped charts around the world and earned universal acclaim as a rock masterpiece. George became the first Beatle to have a solo number one single in both the UK and America with the album’s lead single, 'My Sweet Lord', which introduced his signature slide guitar playing. George co-wrote the album’s opening track, 'I’d Have You Anytime' with his friend Bob Dylan, who also wrote another song on the landmark album, 'If Not For You'.

'Early Takes: Volume 1' is a compilation album of outtakes and demo recordings by George Harrison, released posthumously in May 2012. The recordings appeared in Martin Scorsese's 2011 documentary film George Harrison: Living in the Material World and were originally issued as part of the deluxe version of the DVD release. Producer Giles Martin compiled the album, working with engineer Paul Hicks. The majority of the tracks date from the sessions for Harrison's 1970 triple album 'All Things Must Pass'.

As a direct result of the Beatles’ keen curiosity about experimental music and other avant-garde artistic expression, Apple Records launched its short-lived Zapple subsidiary in February 1969 as a forum for unfettered sonic exploration, or, as announced at the time, “more freaky sounds". George’s 'Electronic Sound' and John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s 'Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With the Lions', both released in May 1969, were Zapple’s only releases before it was closed down. 'Electronic Sound’s cover art, painted by George, depicts his Moog IIIp (which was later used on four tracks by the Beatles on their album Abbey Road) with the four modules from which the sound was synthesized. Each side of the 'Eletronic Sound' LP featured one exploratory long-form work.

In late 1974, George Harrison returned to California to record his next album, the soul-tinged 'Extra Texture' (Read All About It). Leon Russell played piano on 'Tired of Midnight Blue',  and for some of the sessions, Harrison was joined by guitarist Jesse Ed Davis, plus Jim Keltner, Paul Stallworth, and David Foster from new band Attitudes, who were later signed by George’s newly formed Dark Horse label.

'Thirty Three & ⅓' is the seventh solo studio album by George Harrison, recorded at his home in Oxfordshire, Friar Park and released later that same year in November 1976. It was Harrison’s first album release on his Dark Horse record label. Upon its release, Billboard said, “[it’s] a sunny, upbeat album of love songs and cheerful jokes that is [George’s] happiest and most commercial package, with least high-flown postures, for perhaps his entire solo career. ”

Released in November 1968, George Harrison’s 'Wonderwall Music' was the first solo album released by a member of the Beatles and the first LP to be released by Apple Records. The soundtrack music for director Joe Massot’s debut feature-length film, Wonderwall, the predominantly instrumental album is an intricate, vibrant tapestry of western rock music and compositions in an Indian classical style. In 1992, George recalled, “I decided to do it as a mini-anthology of Indian music, because I wanted to help turn the public on to Indian music. ” Three bonus tracks have been added to the remastered album: 'In the First Place' by Liverpool group the Remo Four, who played the rock elements of the recording sessions, a previously unreleased alternate take of 'The Inner Light', and the previously unreleased 'Almost Shankara',  a raga that was not used in the film or for the soundtrack LP.

In 1984, Gary Numan set up his own label, Numa Records, after parting ways with his previous label, Beggars Banquet. The move signified the beginning of a new period in Numan’s career, where he was free to experiment and take his sound in a new direction.

The first album to be released during the Numa Years was 'Berserker', which represented the shift in Numan’s sound as he moved toward a harder-edged digital aesthetic, while still honouring the analogue textures of his earlier work. The album not only showcases Numan’s creative growth but also celebrates his ability to push boundaries and bring listeners on a captivating musical journey. The album finds Numan weaving together fictional and personal narratives into a rich tapestry of sound which, even after 40 years, continues to resonate with fans, celebrated for its haunting themes and tracks like 'My Dying Machine', 'This Is New Love', and 'Berserker'.

This new remastered and expanded 2LP edition features the original album plus selected bonus tracks, while the deluxe 4CD edition includes the original album along with bonus tracks, extended mixes from B-sides, and Numan's live album White Noise, recorded during the Berserker Tour, showcasing his dynamic performance.

The re-release of 'Berserker' signifies the beginning of The Numa Years retrospective and represents just the first step in a broader exploration of this era.

Come Ahead is Primal Scream’s 12th full length record. 11 new songs that find Bobby Gillespie preparing to release some of the most personal songwriting of the band’s career.

The songwriting process for Come Ahead began in 2019. At which point Bobby Gillespie had no idea if he would make another Primal Scream album again. For the first time, the lyrics came before the music. The story came first. Bobby wrote alone, using an acoustic guitar. Ideas flowed fast, in long bursts of inspiration. This process, in tandem with encouragement from producer David Holmes, provided a new way in. Working with Holmes and Primal Scream guitarist Andrew Innes, the Come Ahead sessions were completed between Belfast, London and Los Angeles.

“I'm very excited about this album in a way that you would be making your first record. If there was an overall theme to Come Ahead it might be one of conflict, whether inner or outer. The title is a Glaswegian term. If someone threatens to fight you, you say, ‘come ahead!’ It’s redolent of the indomitable spirit of the Glaswegian, and the album itself shares that aggressive attitude and confidence. They have a word for this up there, gallus. Come Ahead’s quite a cheeky title too.” Bobby Gillespie.

Barry says: Primal Scream's latent funk leanings come to the fore on this, their 12th full-length LP. There has always been an element of driven, raucous dancefloor groove to the 'Scream's work, but Gillespie's gravelly vocals fit perfectly in this saturated maelstrom of Stax-indebted groove.

Spanning thirty years of music from their debut album From Her To Eternity through to Push The Sky Away their 15th studio album, the collection navigates one of the most exhilarating, idiosyncratic and inventive bodies of work created in contemporary music.

• Included are long-standing live favourites “Stagger Lee” and “The Mercy Seat”, their hit single from 1995 “Where The Wild Roses Grow” through to recent fan favourites “Jubilee Street” and “We No Who U R”. There are songs that newcomers may only know from their appearance on film and television soundtracks, notably “O Children” (Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. I) and the ubiquitous “Red Right Hand”, most recently familiar to fans of the series Peaky Blinders.

• The album was compiled by Nick Cave and founding member Mick Harvey, with help from the current Bad Seeds.

Laura says: Nick Cave has been one of the most influential and distinctive songwriter / performers of the last 30 odd years. With such a brilliant and varied catalogue spanning 15 LPs, I'd find it virtually impossible to select a mere 21 'best of' tracks, but Nick and ex Bad Seed Mick Harvey have managed it, and that's what you get here on the vinyl and standard CD editions of this release. The deluxe expands futher and is spread across 3CDs and a live/interview DVD.

Laura says: "Fuzzy Logic" was originally released in 1996, and introduced us to the warped, synth-psych-pop world of the Super Furries. You're plunged straight in from the opening riffs of "God! Show Me Magic", which sets things off at a manic pace, before swooping down into "Fuzzy Birds", then back up again for the hook-filled "Something 4 The Weekend". And so it goes on, vying between manic knob twiddling wig-outs to more pastoral, psych-pop all with an innate sense of melody and fun. They managed to take elements of 60s psych, 70s glam and a punk rock attitude and meld them into something unlike anything else around at the time. It was a real breath of fresh air when it came out in '96 and still sounds great 20 years on!

After enjoying a successful first decade in the music industry with The Housemartins, Beats International and Freak Power, Norman Cook put all of his other projects to one side in 1995, concentrating instead on new alias Fatboy Slim. After the 12" release of two killer club tracks, "Santa Cruz" and "Everybody Needs A 303", the Fatboy was ready to conquer the world and duly dropped "Better Living Through Chemistry" on Skint in 1996. As the set barrelled through a rapid fire succession of 60s soul samples, funk backbeats and wigged out synth action, Cook set about creating a new sound informed by all those rare nuggets he'd spun in Brighton's club scene. Taking hip hop's sampledelic spirit, the boundless energy of rave and the filtered brilliance heading over the channel from Paris' new breed, Cook laid the template for the chart topping, party starting, mainroom magic which would fill Britain's dancefloors for the next decade. It was the starting point of a roller-coaster journey that has gone on to include massive hit singles, multi-platinum selling albums, three Brit Awards, a Grammy, an Ivor Novello, 10 MTV Awards, the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony and worldwide DJ superstardom which continues to this day with a hectic schedule of DJ performances and festival headliner shows. This album celebrates where it all began - the brilliant original album - a seminal dance music moment in history, and expands on the story with a whole disc of bonus tracks including recordings from the Fatboy vaults that have never been released before. 

From the suburbs of Croydon to the industrial bloc of former East Berlin, The Tunics have been quietly making a name for themselves as well as an album.

Their sound is a mix of influences; The Libertines, Cast and Oasis. The album is a melody-heavy, heart-on-the-sleeve affair, reminiscent of the greats from the Britpop era, when guitar bands were ruling the charts. “I’ve got a lot of confidence in the songs that we’re writing and the album that we have,” says frontman Joe. “Not to be too overblown about the whole thing but we’re ready for a proper f**king guitar band with actual songs. I think that’s what the world needs.”

The album opens with the dance-like-you’re-a-teenager-again track entitled "Berlin" - an ode to the city of their rebirth. "Help Is On It’s Way" is next up. Bass heavy, it drives the song forward like speeding traffic, barrelling up the westway. Third up "I’m Broke You’re Bored" will be the second single release from the album: A poignant sentiment with the gently spiralling guitar and keyboards of Costello and Booth providing the soundtrack to it. "Stolen Hearts" is the ballad of the album and a stand-out track complete with slide guitars that shine a western infused sunset light on the song. Next up is "Radio", a beautiful string-laden piece of music that comes with one of the band’s sharpest-tongued lyrics. “I think the song is about everything on the radio being rubbish basically and just saying I can’t bear this any longer, I need an outlet for myself.” Debut single "Low" has a killer hook with layers of piano and guitar sounds. A soft interlude marks the half way point of the album and leads into the second half of the record: "Slaves Ride On These Waves" is again haunted by a western air. The gently plucked guitar and folky balladry places it firmly in the desert, a lost Morricone. "You Already Knew" picks up the tempo and from here on in the album is hitting the backbeat hard. "Shadows" is a jaunty and upbeat psychedelic groover with a political stab. "Wit and Acid Tongue", largely instrumental skiffles by with an undeniable and sometimes abstract sixties’ vibe. "A Moment of Clarity" is the penultimate track on Dabblers Handbook and is a moment in time, an expansive breath and a gently rocking precursor to album closer "Dear God", an epic and beautifully composed prayer of a track. The anthemic strings wrap the closing number into a gift of a finale.
