Very promising debut from Bluestar who are, or is, one person, called Darren. He wrote all the music and lyrics, and played all the instruments (except the drums, where a friend helped out). The seven tracks on this CD range from epic "Feelin'" to gentler melodic tracks. There's an obvious Stone Roses influence in some of the guitar and vocal melodies, but other influences from the likes of Oasis, Doves, Teardrop Explodes and The Bunnymen are also present.
