*2026 repress**

30 yrs (!) since it's initial release in '97... absolutely loaded EP of dancefloor heat from a true disco romantic, Daniel Wang. Certified treasure from past, and one that won't leave the record bag.

Remastered with love and respect of the originals, and the originators.

HUGE TIP!

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Daniel Wang's an honorary Mancunian doncha know!? From breath-taking appearances at Naïve Melody and Electric Chair, not to mention THAT interview at La Discotheque when he referred to Andi Hanley as 'the chicken' (!!). These early joints from the Balihu catalogue are house music gold dust. Don't miss this limited repress.

**2026 Repress**

Recording as the Morning Kids, Daniel Wang dropped this classic in 1996 on his own great Balihu Records. Released, produced and engineered by a true DIY disco-punk - the samples are huge and Wang weaves his own playing into the mix with killer effect.

This much sought after EP has been remastered is now available again after a very long time.

HUGE TIP!

Daniel Wang

Look Ma No Drum Machine! 2025 Edition

There's some misty eyes in Piccadilly right now, let me tell you. Not content with serving a smackdown to one of our scene's great pretenders, disco-house godfather Daniel Wang delivers an official, legit and great sounding repress of Balihu 001. His first foray into the world of house music, BAL001 saw Danny dive into his disco crates, slice a handful of heaters from the likes of Eddys Rosemund and Grant, Indeep, Anita Ward and Sleeque into his sampler to turn out a quartet of cut n paste killers. Playful, naive and utterly groove laden, these irresistible cuts have been doing it on dancefloors for almost thirty years now and still absolutely slay.
On the A-side, the scene defining "Like Some Dream" pairs a poetic vocal with a two bar loop from Eddy Rosemund's 'Funk It' and then takes us on the ride of our life, either with or without that timbale break. If you don't own this, or, heaven forbid, haven't heard it, you need to remedy this immediately. Flip it to hear Daniel freak with Eddy Grant's Timewarp on the insistent "Warped", get creative with the disco breaks on "Gotta Get Up", then slip into the funkier end of the dancefloor on the thick and thumping "Twitchy & Scratchy".
