APPAREL MUSIC

Tasty concept 7" series by Apparel Wax with the producer offering up two classy house cuts alongside a brilliant 'nature bomb' - biodegradable, seed containing planting paper which can be used to plant wildflowers and such like around your local area! (The Blindboy podcast has been discussing this concept recently in order to save our dwindling bee population). Much better than the usual throw-away crap certain labels use to pad out their releases!

Musically, "MINI002" utilizes the classic tropes of filter house - jazz licks, low pass filter, warm bass and percussive house beats. Think Shir Khan's Black Jukebox, vintage Glenn Underground and alot of the GAMM / Local Talk output. Feel-good house music drenched in jazzy overtones. Mega!

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: The second in the Apparel Wax mini series comes with a mixed seed flower bomb so you can plant renegade meadows around your city or urban sprawl. It's all about saving the bees you see! A brilliant idea that's coincidently being championed on the Blindboy podcast. The music ain't half bad either!

Big room house sounds on small format 7"! Apparel Wax is the alias of an annonymous producer or producers who've been releasing music since around 2017. This is the first record in the Apparel Mini series and features two killer jams which loosely fall into the same territory as labels such as Lumberjacks In Hell, Shir Khan's Black Jukebox & Defected; or producers such as Dam Swindle, Midland, Krystal Klear, Daft Punk etc. High gloss production, white noise sweeps, fat bass and thumpin' kicks. It sounds modern, but is influenced by the vast cannon of filter / funky house that proceeds it. Party starting tackle that few will raise a frown to. Check!

STAFF COMMENTS

Matt says: Anonymous producer or producers with a clearly defined approach to modern house music perfection. These two joints kick hard!
