Ior's second album is a continuation of their debut album from 2024. Where the previous record came about in a euphoric state, brought about by David Fridlund's (David & The Citizens) escape from a broken relationship in the USA and the overwhelming feeling of being able to do exactly as you want from one day to the next, 'Livsvärk' is a collection of reflections on life, choices you make and how you end up where you end up.

The band ior is from Gothenburg and plays emotional power pop and consists, in addition to David Fridlund, of Daniel Fridlund, David Bergström and Mathias Engwall who have previously played or are playing with bands and artists such as Kid Down, Joel Alme, European Sons, Llawgne, New Moscow etc. They weave together a mixture of indie pop, shoegaze, uncompromising rock attitude, mixing in the most beautiful melodies, all strong enough to be performed acoustically but here dressed in ethereal noise and winding melodies.

'Livsvärk' is very much a celebration of life and an acknowledgement that life without pain may not offer as much as the experience of having gone through really hard things and coming out stronger on the other side.
