About this item

The Tape Club Records Single Series is a new luxury platform for music - limited runs of 300 7"s, mastered by Matt Colton (MPG Mastering Engineer of the Year 2013) and pressed at The Vinyl Factory, will showcase the best emerging, left-of-centre electronic and pop artists.

The first of the Single Series releases features a collaboration between DJ/producer My Panda Shall Fly (Suren Seneviratne) and Adventure Elephant (Oliver Sanders), who have joined forces to create a set of futuristic electronic-dance works.

Seneviratne has established himself as a dynamic and unique artist within the electronic scene - as My Panda Shall Fly he went on to release his debut EP on Dam Mantle’s Growing Records. This saw support from the likes of Pitchfork, Dazed Digital, Clash Magazine, XLR8R, The Fader, The Independent and Dummy Mag. Following that came remix invitations from the The Weeknd, Fink, Psychologist, Terror Danjah and Little Boots, and more recently he's appeared on Rinse FM, NTS, played at the BBC Hackney Weekender, Outlook and Boiler Room, and released ‘Let's Vibrate Together’, a collaborative 12" with Benjamin Jackson on Five Easy Pieces that quickly sold out. If that wasn't enough, he sneaked in another collaborative release with Will Ward in November on XVI records, a Resonance FM compilation feature and an appearance on a new AM Discs cassette release.

Oliver Sanders started off as a member of math-rock outfit, Tubelord, and then began exploring more experimental/electronic music. He's since written music for short films, and is currently working on his first feature length documentary soundtrack. He also co-runs Listening Club - a series of nights in London which aim to bring music listening to cinema spaces. A solo EP release will be available imminently on the digital Fresh yO! label.
